mainlining shenanigans

The driver doesn't have a struct of_device_id table but supported devices are registered via Device Trees. This is working on the assumption that a SPI device registered via OF will always match a legacy SPI device ID and that the MODALIAS reported will always be of the form spi:<device>. There is an ACPI method to enumerate such devices via specific ACPI ID and use of compatible strings. It will not work for the drivers which have no OF match ID table present. Besides this could change in the future so the correct approach is to have an OF device ID table if the devices are registered via OF. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
