e20849a8c8 usb: gadget: pch_udc: Convert to use GPIO descriptors
This switches the PCH UDC driver to use GPIO descriptors. The way
this is supposed to be used is confusing. The code contains the
following:

/* GPIO port for VBUS detecting */
    static int vbus_gpio_port = -1; /* GPIO port number (-1:Not used) */

So a hardcoded GPIO number in the code. Further the probe() path
very clearly will exit if the GPIO is not found, so this driver
can only be configured by editing the code, hard-coding a GPIO
number into this variable.

This is simply not how we do things. My guess is that this is
used in products by patching a GPIO number into this variable and
shipping a kernel that is compile-time tailored for the target
system.

I switched this mechanism to using a GPIO descriptor associated
with the parent PCI device. This can be added by using the 16bit
subsystem ID or similar to identify which exact machine we are
running on and what GPIO is present on that machine, and then
add a GPIO descriptor using gpiod_add_lookup_table() from
<linux/gpio/machine.h>. Since I don't have any target systems
I cannot add this but I'm happy to help. I put in a FIXME so
the people actually using this driver knows what to do.

This is a follow-on patch for commit a23be4ed8f ("usb: gadget: aspeed:

The DPRAM memory from the USB High Speed Device Port (UDPHS) hardware

465c335bb5 Samsung S3C24xx and S3C64xx machine code cleanup for v5.10
Big cleanup for the Samsung S3C24xx and S3C64xx platforms, although it
also touches files shared with S5Pv210 and Exynos. This is mostly Arnd
Bergmann work which Krzysztof Kozlowski took over, rebased and polished.

The goal is to cleanup, merge and finally make the Samsung S3C24xx and
S3C64xx architectures multiplatform. The multiplatform did not happen
yet here - just cleaning up and merging into one arch/arm/mach-s3c
directory. However this is step forward for multiplatform or at least
to keep this code still maintainable.

This pulls also branch with changes for Samsung SoC sound drivers from
broonie/sound because the cleanups there were part of this series and
all further patches depend on them.

5f74542476 usb: gadget: s3c-hsudc: remove platform header dependency
There is no real phy driver, so s3c-hsudc just pokes the registers
itself. Improve this a little by making it a platform data callback
like we do for gpios.

There is only one board using this driver, and it's unlikely
that another would be added, so this is a minimal workaround.

5fc453d7de usb: bdc: Halt controller on suspend
GISB bus error kernel panics have been observed during S2 transition
tests on the 7271t platform. The errors are a result of the BDC
interrupt handler trying to access BDC register space after the
system's suspend callbacks have completed.

Adding a suspend hook to the BDC driver that halts the controller before
S2 entry thus preventing unwanted access to the BDC register space during
this transition.

b10d33c4f0 usb: bdc: driver runs out of buffer descriptors on large ADB transfers
Version v1.0.40 of the Android host ADB software increased maximum
transfer sizes from 256K to 1M. Since the STB ADB gadget driver
requests only 16K at a time, the BDC driver ran out of buffer
descriptors (BDs) if the queuing happens faster than the incoming
16K transfers. This issue is fixed by doubling the number of BDs
that can be queued so that the entire 1M request can be queued
without running out of buffers.

33d1c71832 usb: bdc: Adb shows offline after resuming from S2
On Android systems, After temporarily putting device to S2 by
short pressing the power button on the remote, the display turns
off. Then press the power button to turn the display back up. Adb
devices would show the devices is offline. It needs a physical
disconnect of the usb cable or power cycle to bring the device
back online. The device is operational otherwise.

The problem is that during S2 resume, the ADB gadget driver could
not link back with the BDC driver because the endpoint flags were
cleared. The fix is to clear the endpoint flags for the disconnect
case only and not for S2 exit.

eccba1edee USB: dummy-hcd: use configurable endpoint naming scheme
USB gadget subsystem uses the following naming convention for UDC
endpoints:

- "ep-a" names for fully configurable endpoints (address, direction and
  transfer type can be changed);

- "ep1in", "ep12out-bulk" names for fixed function endpoints (fixed
  address, direction and/or transfer type).

Dummy UDC endpoints are capable of full configuration, but named using
the second scheme.

This patch changes the names of generic Dummy UDC endpoints to "ep-aout",
"ep-bin", etc., to advertise that they have configurable addresses and
transfer types (except that Dummy UDC doesn't support ISO transfers), but
fixed direction.

This is required for Raw Gadget (and perhaps for some other drivers),
that reasons about whether an endpoint has configurable address based
on its name.

3c73bc5219 usb: gadget: core: sync interrupt before unbind the udc
The threaded interrupt handler may still be called after the
usb_gadget_disconnect is called, it causes the structures used
at interrupt handler was freed before it uses, eg the
usb_request. This issue usually occurs we remove the udc function
during the transfer. Below is the example when doing stress
test for android switch function, the EP0's request is freed
by .unbind (configfs_composite_unbind -> composite_dev_cleanup),
but the threaded handler accesses this request during handling
setup packet request.

In fact, there is no protection between unbind the udc
and udc interrupt handling, so we have to avoid the interrupt
handler is occurred or scheduled during the .unbind flow.

The endpoint configuration used to be stored in the device tree,
however the configuration depend on the "version" of the controller
itself.

This information is already documented by the compatible string. It
then possible to just rely on the compatible string and completely
remove the full ep configuration done in the device tree as it was
already the case for all the other USB device controller.

7a0fbcf7c3 USB: gadget: udc: s3c2410_udc: Remove pointless NULL check in s3c2410_udc_nuke
Clang warns:

[-Wtautological-pointer-compare]

1 warning generated.

It is not wrong, queue is not a pointer so if ep is not NULL, the
address of queue cannot be NULL. No other driver does a check like this
and this check has been around since the driver was first introduced,
presumably with no issues so it does not seem like this check should be
something else. Just remove it.

Commit afe956c577 ("kbuild: Enable -Wtautological-compare") exposed
this but it is not the root cause of the warning.

bce3052f0c usb: roles: Provide the switch drivers handle to the switch in the API
The USB role callback functions had a parameter pointing to
the parent device (struct device) of the switch. The
assumption was that the switch parent is always the
controller. Firstly, that may not be true in every case, and
secondly, it prevents us from supporting devices that supply
multiple muxes.

Changing the first parameter of usb_role_switch_set_t and
usb_role_switch_get_t from struct device to struct
usb_role_switch.

c06a1c378a usb: gadget: net2280: Distribute switch variables for initialization
Variables declared in a switch statement before any case statements
cannot be automatically initialized with compiler instrumentation (as
they are not part of any execution flow). With GCC's proposed automatic
stack variable initialization feature, this triggers a warning (and they
don't get initialized). Clang's automatic stack variable initialization
(via CONFIG_INIT_STACK_ALL=y) doesn't throw a warning, but it also
doesn't initialize such variables[1]. Note that these warnings (or silent
skipping) happen before the dead-store elimination optimization phase,
so even when the automatic initializations are later elided in favor of
direct initializations, the warnings remain.

To avoid these problems, move such variables into the "case" where
they're used or lift them up into the main function body.

aac9662671 USB/Thunderbolt/PHY driver updates for 5.6-rc1
Here is the big USB and Thunderbolt and PHY driver updates for 5.6-rc1.

With the advent of USB4, "Thunderbolt" has really become USB4, so the
renaming of the Kconfig option and starting to share subsystem code has
begun, hence both subsystems coming in through the same tree here.

PHY driver updates also touched USB drivers, so that is coming in
 through here as well.

Major stuff included in here are:
 	- USB 4 initial support added (i.e. Thunderbolt)
 	- musb driver updates
 	- USB gadget driver updates
 	- PHY driver updates
 	- USB PHY driver updates
 	- lots of USB serial stuff fixed up
 	- USB typec updates
 	- USB-IP fixes
 	- lots of other smaller USB driver updates

All of these have been in linux-next for a while now (the usb-serial
tree is already tested in linux-next on its own before merged into
 here), with no reported issues.

kzalloc(GFP_KERNEL), mutex_lock(), debugfs_create_file() and
devm_request_threaded_irq() can sleep at runtime.

To fix these possible bugs, usb_add_gadget_udc(), gr_dfs_create() and
gr_request_irq() are called without handling the spinlock.

These bugs are found by a static analysis tool STCheck written by myself.

54f83b8c8e USB: gadget: Reject endpoints with 0 maxpacket value
Endpoints with a maxpacket length of 0 are probably useless. They
can't transfer any data, and it's not at all unlikely that a UDC will
crash or hang when trying to handle a non-zero-length usb_request for
such an endpoint. Indeed, dummy-hcd gets a divide error when trying
to calculate the remainder of a transfer length by the maxpacket
value, as discovered by the syzbot fuzzer.

Currently the gadget core does not check for endpoints having a
maxpacket value of 0. This patch adds a check to usb_ep_enable(),
preventing such endpoints from being used.

As far as I know, none of the gadget drivers in the kernel tries to
create an endpoint with maxpacket = 0, but until now there has been
nothing to prevent userspace programs under gadgetfs or configfs from
doing it.

b987b66ac3 usb: udc: lpc32xx: fix bad bit shift operation
It seems that the right variable to use in this case is *i*, instead of
*n*, otherwise there is an undefined behavior when right shifiting by more
than 31 bits when multiplying n by 8; notice that *n* can take values
equal or greater than 4 (4, 8, 16, ...).

Also, notice that under the current conditions (bl = 3), we are skiping
the handling of bytes 3, 7, 31... So, fix this by updating this logic
and limit *bl* up to 4 instead of up to 3.

This fix is based on function udc_stuff_fifo().

c6b48dad92 USB changes for 5.4-rc1
Here is the big set of USB patches for 5.4-rc1.

Two major chunks of code are moving out of the tree and into the staging
directory, uwb and wusb (wireless USB support), because there are no
devices that actually use this protocol anymore, and what we have today
probably doesn't work at all given that the maintainers left many many
years ago. So move it to staging where it will be removed in a few
 releases if no one screams.

Other than that, lots of little things. The usual gadget and xhci and
usb serial driver updates, along with a bunch of sysfs file cleanups due
to the driver core changes to support that. Nothing really major, just
 constant forward progress.

All of these have been in linux-next for a while with no reported
 issues.

2b97c39514 ARM: SoC platform updates for v5.4
The main change this time around is a cleanup of some of the oldest
platforms based on the XScale and ARM9 CPU cores, which are between 10
 and 20 years old.

 The Kendin/Micrel/Microchip KS8695, Winbond/Nuvoton W90x900 and Intel
IOP33x/IOP13xx platforms are removed after we determined that nobody is
 using them any more.

The TI Davinci and NXP LPC32xx platforms on the other hand are still in
active use and are converted to the ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM build, meaning
that we can compile a kernel that works on these along with most other
ARMv5 platforms. Changes toward that goal are also merged for IOP32x,
but additional work is needed to complete this. Patches for the
remaining ARMv5 platforms have started but need more work and some
 testing.

Support for the new ASpeed AST2600 gets added, this is based on the
Cortex-A7 ARMv7 core, and is a newer version of the existing ARMv5 and
ARMv6 chips in the same family.

Other changes include a cleanup of the ST-Ericsson ux500 platform
and the move of the TI Davinci platform to a new clocksource driver.

The errata description is:

Workaround for Default Duration of LFPS Handshake Signaling for
Device-Initiated U1 Exit is too short.

The default duration of the LFPS handshake generated by USB3380 for a device-initiated U1-exit may not be
long enough for certain SuperSpeed downstream ports (SuperSpeed hubs/hosts) to recognize. This could lead
to USB3380 entering the recovery state pre-maturely and ending up in the SS.Inactive state.

I have observed various enumeration failures, seemingly related to
lost transactions or SETUP status phases on modern hosts (typically
thunderbolt capable systems) without this workaround.

ec8ca8a348 usb: gadget: net2280: Move all "ll" registers in one structure
The split into multiple structures of the "ll" register bank is
impractical. It makes it hard to add ll_lfps_timers_2 which is
at offset 0x794, which is outside of the existing "lfps" structure
and would require us to add yet another one.

Instead, move all the "ll" registers into a single usb338x_ll_regs
structure, and add ll_lfps_timers_2 while at it. It will be used
in a subsequent patch.

163be6ff77 usb: gadget: udc: core: Fix segfault if udc_bind_to_driver() for pending driver fails
If a gadget driver is in the pending drivers list, a UDC
becomes available and udc_bind_to_driver() fails, then it
gets deleted from the pending list.
i.e. list_del(&driver->pending) in check_pending_gadget_drivers().

Then if that gadget driver is unregistered,
usb_gadget_unregister_driver() does a list_del(&driver->pending)
again thus causing a page fault as that list entry has been poisoned
by the previous list_del().

Fix this by using list_del_init() instead of list_del() in
check_pending_gadget_drivers().

Test case:

- Make sure no UDC is available
- modprobe g_mass_storage file=wrongfile
- Load UDC driver so it becomes available
lun0: unable to open backing file: wrongfile
- modprobe -r g_mass_storage
