When doing 2-step timestamping the HW will generate an interrupt when it
managed to timestamp a frame. It is the SW responsibility to read it
from the FIFO.

Update both the extraction and injection to do timestamping of the
frames. The extraction is always doing the timestamping while for
injection is doing the timestamping only if it is configured.

Implement the ioctl callbacks SIOCSHWTSTAMP and SIOCGHWTSTAMP to allow
to configure the ports to enable/disable timestamping for TX. The RX
timestamping is always enabled. The HW is capable to run both 1-step
timestamping and 2-step timestamping.

Those get especially actual in XDP Hints upcoming.
I couldn't have addressed the first one for all Intel drivers due to
that they don't reserve any headroom for now in legacy-rx mode even
with XDP enabled. This is hugely wrong, but requires quite a bunch
of work and a separate series. Luckily, ice doesn't suffer from
that.

By profiling, discovered that ena device driver allocates skb by
build_skb() and frees by napi_skb_cache_put(). Because the driver
does not use napi skb cache in allocation path, napi skb cache is
periodically filled and flushed. This is waste of napi skb cache.
As ena_alloc_skb() is called only in napi, Use napi_build_skb()
and napi_alloc_skb() when allocating skb.
This patch was tested on aws a1.metal instance.

Change qed_mcp_cmd() to use msleep() (by setting QED_MB_FLAG_CAN_SLEEP
flag) and add new nosleep() version of the api. These api are used to
issue cmds to management fw and the change affects how driver
behaves while waiting for a response/resource.
All sleepable callers of the existing api now use msleep() version. For
non-sleepable callers, the new nosleep() version is explicitly used.

Unlike gmac100, gmac1000, gmac4 has 27 DMA registers and they are
located at DMA_CHAN_BASE_ADDR (0x1100). In order for ethtool to dump
gmac4 DMA registers correctly, this commit checks if a net_device has
gmac4 and uses different logic to dump its DMA registers.
This fixes the following KASAN warning, which can normally be triggered
by a command similar like "ethtool -d eth0":

Fix the crash in kernel while dereferencing the NULL pointer,
when the driver is unloaded and simultaneously the VSI rings
are being stopped.
The hardware requires 50msec in order to finish RX queues
disable. For this purpose the driver spins in mdelay function
for the operation to be completed.
For example changing number of queues which requires reset would
fail in the following call stack:
1) i40e_prep_for_reset
2) i40e_pf_quiesce_all_vsi
3) i40e_quiesce_vsi
4) i40e_vsi_close
5) i40e_down
6) i40e_vsi_stop_rings
7) i40e_vsi_control_rx -> disable requires the delay of 50msecs
8) continue back in i40e_down function where
i40e_clean_tx_ring(vsi->tx_rings[i]) is going to crash
When the driver was spinning vsi_release called
i40e_vsi_free_arrays where the vsi->tx_rings resources
were freed and the pointer was set to NULL.

There was an AQ error I40E_AQ_RC_EINVAL when trying
to reset bw limit as part of bw allocation setup.
This was caused by trying to reset bw limit with
DCB enabled. Bw limit should not be reset when
DCB is enabled. The code was relying on the pf->flags
to check if DCB is enabled but if only 1 TC is available
this flag will not be set even though DCB is enabled.
Add a check for number of TC and if it is 1
don't try to reset bw limit even if pf->flags shows
DCB as disabled.

Copy it along with the frame headers. Account its size on skb
allocation, and when copying just treat it as a part of the frame
and do a pull after to "move" it to the "reserved" zone.
net_prefetch() xdp->data_meta and align the copy size to speed-up
memcpy() a little and better match ixgbe_construct_skb().

To not dereference bi->xdp each time in ixgbe_construct_skb_zc(),
pass bi->xdp as an argument instead of bi. We can also call
xsk_buff_free() outside of the function as well as assign bi->xdp
to NULL, which seems to make it closer to its name.

In "legacy-rx" mode represented by ice_construct_skb(), we can
still use XDP (and XDP metadata), but after XDP_PASS the metadata
will be lost as it doesn't get copied to the skb.
Copy it along with the frame headers. Account its size on skb
allocation, and when copying just treat it as a part of the frame
and do a pull after to "move" it to the "reserved" zone.
Point net_prefetch() to xdp->data_meta instead of data. This won't
change anything when the meta is not here, but will save some cache
misses otherwise.

Add rtl_disable_exit_l1() for ensuring that the chip doesn't
inadvertently exit ASPM L1 when being in a low-power mode.
The new function is called from rtl_prepare_power_down() which
has to be moved in the code to avoid a forward declaration.
According to Realtek OCP register 0xc0ac shadows ERI register 0xd4
on RTL8168 versions from RTL8168g. This allows to simplify the
code a little.

After following the call tree of phy_set_max_speed(), it became clear
that this function never returns anything but 0, so we can change its
result type to *void* and drop the result checks from the three drivers
that actually bothered to do it...

The GEM controllers on ZynqMP were missing some initialization steps which
are required in some cases when using SGMII mode, which uses the PS-GTR
transceivers managed by the phy-zynqmp driver.
The GEM core appears to need a hardware-level reset in order to work
properly in SGMII mode in cases where the GT reference clock was not
present at initial power-on. This can be done using a reset mapped to
the zynqmp-reset driver in the device tree.
Also, when in SGMII mode, the GEM driver needs to ensure the PHY is
initialized and powered on.

Currently, the dwmac-sun8i's stmmaceth clk isn't disabled even if the
the device has been runtime suspended. The reason is the driver gets
the "stmmaceth" clk as tx_clk and enabling it during probe. But
there's no other usage of tx_clk except preparing and enabling, so
we can remove tx_clk and its usage then rely on the common routine
stmmac_probe_config_dt() to prepare and enable the stmmaceth clk
during driver initialization, and benefit from the runtime pm feature
after probed.

In Spectrum-2 and later ASICs, each TCAM region has a default action
that is executed in case a packet did not match any rule in the region.
The location of the action in the database (KVDL) is computed by adding
the region's index to a base value.
Some TCAM regions are not exposed to the host and used internally by the
device. Allocate KVDL entries for the default actions of these regions
to avoid the host from overwriting them.
With mlxsw, lookups in the internal regions are not currently performed,
but it is a good practice not to overwrite their default actions.

When processing events generated by the device's firmware, the driver
protects itself from events reported for non-existent local ports, but
not for the CPU port (local port 0), which exists, but does not have all
the fields as any local port.
This can result in a NULL pointer dereference when trying access
'struct mlxsw_sp_port' fields which are not initialized for CPU port.
Commit 63b08b1f68 ("mlxsw: spectrum: Protect driver from buggy firmware")
already handled such issue by bailing early when processing a PUDE event
reported for the CPU port.
Generalize the approach by moving the check to a common function and
making use of it in all relevant places.

There will be BUG_ON() triggered in include/linux/skbuff.h leading to
intermittent kernel panic, when the skb length underflow is detected.
Fix this by dropping the packet if such length underflows are seen
because of inconsistencies in the hardware descriptors.

Some older NIC hardware isn't capable of doing VLAN push on RX and pop
on TX.
A workaround has been added in software to support it, but it has a
performance penalty since it requires a hairpin + loopback.
There's no such limitation with the newer NICs, so no need to pay the
price of the w/a. With this change the software w/a is disabled for
certain HW versions and steering modes that support it.

There are two different internal steering modes, abstracted from the
rest of the driver. In order to keep upper layer of the driver agnostic
to the differences in capabilities of the steering modes, this patch
introduces mlx5_fs_get_capabilities() API to check if a certain software
defined capability is supported. It differs from the capabilities
exposed by the hardware, as it takes into account the flow steering mode
(SMFS/DMFS) currently enabled.
This implementation supports only two capability flags:
MLX5_FLOW_STEERING_CAP_VLAN_PUSH_ON_RX
MLX5_FLOW_STEERING_CAP_VLAN_POP_ON_TX
They map to DR_ACTION_STATE_PUSH_VLAN and DR_ACTION_STATE_POP_VLAN
actions, implemented in SW steering earlier in commit f5e22be534
("net/mlx5: DR, Split modify VLAN state to separate pop/push states").
Which enables using of pop/push vlan without restrictions, e.g. doing
vlan pop on TX and RX, compared to FW steering that supports only vlan
pop on RX and push on TX.
Other capabilities can be added in the future.

ct clear action is a normal flow with a modify header for registers to
0. there is no need for any special handling in tc_ct.c.
Parsing of ct clear action still allocates mod acts to set 0 on the
registers and the driver continue to add a normal rule with modify hdr
context.

In later commit we are going to instantiate multiple attr instances
for flow instead of single attr.
Parsing TC sample allocates a new memory but there is no symmetric
cleanup in the infrastructure.
To avoid asymmetric alloc/free use sample_attr as part of the flow attr
and not allocated and held as a pointer.
This will avoid a cleanup leak when sample action is not on the first
attr.

In later commit that we will have multiple attr instances per flow
we would like to pass a specific attr instance to set encaps.
Currently the mlx5_flow object contains a single mlx5_attr instance.
However, multi table actions (e.g. CT) instantiate multiple attr instances.
Currently mlx5e_attach/detach_encap() reads the first attr instance
from the flow instance. Modify the functions to receive the attr
instance as a parameter which is set by the calling function.

to make the function smaller for maintainability and reuse.

On some systems there are compatibility issues with ASPM L1.2 and
RTL8125, therefore this state is disabled per default. To allow for
the L1.2 power saving on not affected systems, Realtek provides
vendors that successfully tested ASPM L1.2 the option to flag this
state as safe. According to Realtek this flag will be set first on
certain Chromebox devices.

When resume from suspend, besides skipping PTP registration, it also
skipping PTP HW initialization. This could cause PTP clock not able to
operate properly when resume from suspend.
To fix this, only stmmac_ptp_register() is skipped when resume from
suspend.

For Intel platform, it is required to configure PTP clock source prior PTP
initialization in MAC. So, need to move ptp_clk_freq_config execution from
stmmac_ptp_register() to stmmac_init_ptp().

Support the standard "clock-frequency" attribute to set the generated
MDC frequency. If not specified, the driver will leave the divisor
bits untouched.

All of the resources used by this driver has managed interfaces, so
use them. Heed the warning in the comment before platform_get_resource
and use a bare devm_ioremap to allow for non-exclusive access to the
IO memory.

Convert mvneta to use the mac_select_interface rather than using
phylink_set_pcs(). The intention here is to unify the approach for
PCS and eventually remove phylink_set_pcs().

Re-order the mvneta initialisation to move devm based resources and
easy setup earlier in the probe function. The primary reason for this
is to allow us to switch the driver to use phylink's mac_select_pcs()
callback.

Use GFP_ATOMIC when allocating pages out of the hotpath,
continue to use GFP_KERNEL when allocating pages during setup.
GFP_KERNEL will allow blocking which allows it to succeed
more often in a low memory enviornment but in the hotpath we do
not want to allow the allocation to block.

Make use of the struct_size() helper instead of an open-coded version,
in order to avoid any potential type mistakes or integer overflows that,
in the worst scenario, could lead to heap overflows.

Commit 0ebecb2644 ("net: mdio: Add helper functions for accessing
MDIO devices") added support for mdiodev accessor operations that
neatly wrap the mdiobus accessor operations. Since we are dealing with
a mdio device here, update the driver to use mdiodev_write().

The function lan966x_mac_wait_for_completion is used to poll the status
of the MAC table using the function readx_poll_timeout. The problem with
this function is that is called also from atomic context. Therefore
update the function to use readx_poll_timeout_atomic.

On lan966x, when injecting a frame it was polling the register
QS_INJ_STATUS to see if it can continue with the injection of the frame.
The problem was that it was using readx_poll_timeout which could sleep
in atomic context.
This patch fixes this issue by using readx_poll_timeout_atomic.
