d785e1fec6 ixgbe: fail to create xfrm offload of IPsec tunnel mode SA
Based on talks and indirect references ixgbe IPsec offlod do not
support IPsec tunnel mode offload. It can only support IPsec transport
mode offload. Now explicitly fail when creating non transport mode SA
with offload to avoid false performance expectations.

c0d4e9d223 ixgbe: store the result of ixgbe_rx_offset() onto ixgbe_ring
Output of ixgbe_rx_offset() is based on ethtool's priv flag setting, which
when changed, causes PF reset (disables napi, frees irqs, loads
different Rx mem model, etc.). This means that within napi its result is
constant and there is no reason to call it per each processed frame.

Add new 'rx_offset' field to ixgbe_ring that is meant to hold the
ixgbe_rx_offset() result and use it within ixgbe_clean_rx_irq().
Furthermore, use it within ixgbe_alloc_mapped_page().

Last but not least, un-inline the function of interest as it lives in .c
file so let compiler do the decision about the inlining.

Now we can remove a bunch of identical functions from the drivers and

bd7f14df94 ixgbe: fix probing of multi-port devices with one MDIO
Ian reports that after upgrade from v5.8.14 to v5.9 only one
of his 4 ixgbe netdevs appear in the system.

Quoting the comment on ixgbe_x550em_a_has_mii():
 * Returns true if hw points to lowest numbered PCI B:D.F x550_em_a device in
 * the SoC. There are up to 4 MACs sharing a single MDIO bus on the x550em_a,
 * but we only want to register one MDIO bus.

This matches the symptoms, since the return value from
ixgbe_mii_bus_init() is no longer ignored we need to handle
the higher ports of x550em without an error.

0171f4e8d3 net: intel: Remove in_interrupt() warnings
in_interrupt() is ill defined and does not provide what the name
suggests. The usage especially in driver code is deprecated and a tree wide
effort to clean up and consolidate the (ab)usage of in_interrupt() and
related checks is happening.

In this case the checks cover only parts of the contexts in which these
functions cannot be called. They fail to detect preemption or interrupt
disabled invocations.

As the functions which are invoked from the various places contain already
a broad variety of checks (always enabled or debug option dependent) cover
all invalid conditions already, there is no point in having inconsistent
warnings in those drivers.

Just remove them.

5198d545db net: remove napi_hash_del() from driver-facing API
We allow drivers to call napi_hash_del() before calling
netif_napi_del() to batch RCU grace periods. This makes
the API asymmetric and leaks internal implementation details.
Soon we will want the grace period to protect more than just
the NAPI hash table.

Restructure the API and have drivers call a new function -
__netif_napi_del() if they want to take care of RCU waits.

Note that only core was checking the return status from
napi_hash_del() so the new helper does not report if the
NAPI was actually deleted.

Some notes on driver oddness:
 - veth observed the grace period before calling netif_napi_del()
   but that should not matter
 - myri10ge observed normal RCU flavor
 - bnx2x and enic did not actually observe the grace period
   (unless they did so implicitly)
 - virtio_net and enic only unhashed Rx NAPIs

The last two points seem to indicate that the calls to
napi_hash_del() were a left over rather than an optimization.
Regardless, it's easy enough to correct them.

This patch may introduce extra synchronize_net() calls for
interfaces which set NAPI_STATE_NO_BUSY_POLL and depend on
free_netdev() to call netif_napi_del(). This seems inevitable
since we want to use RCU for netpoll dev->napi_list traversal,
and almost no drivers set IFF_DISABLE_NETPOLL.

   the hunk in bpf-next:

        [...]
        scn = elf_sec_by_idx(obj, obj->efile.btf_maps_shndx);
        data = elf_sec_data(obj, scn);

                        MAPS_ELF_SEC, obj->path);
                return -EINVAL;
        }
        [...]

9647c57b11 xsk: i40e: ice: ixgbe: mlx5: Test for dma_need_sync earlier for better performance
Test for dma_need_sync earlier to increase
performance. xsk_buff_dma_sync_for_cpu() takes an xdp_buff as
parameter and from that the xsk_buff_pool reference is dug out. Perf
shows that this dereference causes a lot of cache misses. But as the
buffer pool is now sent down to the driver at zero-copy initialization
time, we might as well use this pointer directly, instead of going via
the xsk_buff and we can do so already in xsk_buff_dma_sync_for_cpu()
instead of in xp_dma_sync_for_cpu. This gets rid of these cache
misses.

Throughput increases with 3% for the xdpsock l2fwd sample application

453431a549 mm, treewide: rename kzfree() to kfree_sensitive()
As said by Linus:

  A symmetric naming is only helpful if it implies symmetries in use.
  Otherwise it's actively misleading.

  In "kzalloc()", the z is meaningful and an important part of what the
  caller wants.

  In "kzfree()", the z is actively detrimental, because maybe in the
  future we really _might_ want to use that "memfill(0xdeadbeef)" or
  something. The "zero" part of the interface isn't even _relevant_.

The main reason that kzfree() exists is to clear sensitive information
that should not be leaked to other future users of the same memory
objects.

Rename kzfree() to kfree_sensitive() to follow the example of the recently
added kvfree_sensitive() and make the intention of the API more explicit.
In addition, memzero_explicit() is used to clear the memory to make sure
that it won't get optimized away by the compiler.

The renaming is done by using the command sequence:

  git grep -w --name-only kzfree |\
  xargs sed -i 's/kzfree/kfree_sensitive/'

followed by some editing of the kfree_sensitive() kerneldoc and adding
a kzfree backward compatibility macro in slab.h.

6f82b25587 ixgbe: use generic power management
With legacy PM hooks, it was the responsibility of a driver to manage PCI
states and also the device's power state. The generic approach is to let
PCI core handle the work.

ixgbe_suspend() calls __ixgbe_shutdown() to perform intermediate tasks.
__ixgbe_shutdown() modifies the value of "wake" (device should be wakeup
enabled or not), responsible for controlling the flow of legacy PM.

Since, PCI core has no idea about the value of "wake", new code for generic
PM may produce unexpected results. Thus, use "device_set_wakeup_enable()"
to wakeup-enable the device accordingly.

Compile-tested only.

e8407fdeb9 bpf, xdp: Remove XDP_QUERY_PROG and XDP_QUERY_PROG_HW XDP commands
Now that BPF program/link management is centralized in generic net_device
code, kernel code never queries program id from drivers, so
XDP_QUERY_PROG/XDP_QUERY_PROG_HW commands are unnecessary.

This patch removes all the implementations of those commands in kernel, along
the xdp_attachment_query().

abc0c78c0a ixgbe: don't clear UDP tunnel ports when RXCSUM is disabled
It appears the clearing of UDP tunnel ports when RXCSUM
is disabled is unnecessary. Driver will not pay attention
to checksum bits if RXCSUM is not set, so we can let
the hardware parse the packets.

Note that the UDP tunnel port NDO handlers don't pay attention

bb0967c04e ixgbe: Cleanup unneeded delay in ethtool test
There is a 4 seconds delay in ixgbe_diag_test() that is holding up other
ioctls such as SIOCGIFCONF that Oracle database applications use.
One of Oracle's product runs "ethtool -t ethX online" periodically for
system monitoring and that is impacting database applications that use
SIOCGIFCONF at that same time.

This 4 second delay was needed in out early 1GbE parts to give the PHY
time to recover from a reset. This code was carried forward to the 10 GbE
driver even it was not needed for the supported PHYs in the ixgbe driver.

34a2a3b83e net/intel: remove driver versions from Intel drivers
As with other networking drivers, remove the unnecessary driver version
from the Intel drivers. The ethtool driver information and module version
will then report the kernel version instead.

For ixgbe, i40e and ice drivers, the driver passes the driver version to
the firmware to confirm that we are up and running. So we now pass the
value of UTS_RELEASE to the firmware. This adminq call is required per
the HAS document. The Device then sends an indication to the BMC that the
PF driver is present. This is done using Host NC Driver Status Indication
in NC-SI Get Link command or via the Host Network Controller Driver Status
Change AEN.

What the BMC may do with this information is implementation-dependent, but
this is a standard NC-SI 1.1 command we honor per the HAS.

cf02512899 ixgbe: Add XDP frame size to driver
This driver uses different memory models depending on PAGE_SIZE at
compile time. For PAGE_SIZE 4K it uses page splitting, meaning for
normal MTU frame size is 2048 bytes (and headroom 192 bytes). For
larger MTUs the driver still use page splitting, by allocating
order-1 pages (8192 bytes) for RX frames. For PAGE_SIZE larger than
4K, driver instead advance its rx_buffer->page_offset with the frame
size "truesize".

For XDP frame size calculations, this mean that in PAGE_SIZE larger
than 4K mode the frame_sz change on a per packet basis. For the page
split 4K PAGE_SIZE mode, xdp.frame_sz is more constant and can be
updated once outside the main NAPI loop.

The default setting in the driver uses build_skb(), which provides
the necessary headroom and tailroom for XDP-redirect in RX-frame
(in both modes).

There is one complication, which is legacy-rx mode (configurable via
ethtool priv-flags). There are zero headroom in this mode, which is a
requirement for XDP-redirect to work. The conversion to xdp_frame
(convert_to_xdp_frame) will detect this insufficient space, and
xdp_do_redirect() call will fail. This is deemed acceptable, as it
allows other XDP actions to still work in legacy-mode. In
legacy-mode + larger PAGE_SIZE due to lacking tailroom, we also
accept that xdp_adjust_tail shrink doesn't work.

88eb0ee17b ixgbe: Fix XDP redirect on archs with PAGE_SIZE above 4K
The ixgbe driver have another memory model when compiled on archs with
PAGE_SIZE above 4096 bytes. In this mode it doesn't split the page in
two halves, but instead increment rx_buffer->page_offset by truesize of
packet (which include headroom and tailroom for skb_shared_info).

This is done correctly in ixgbe_build_skb(), but in ixgbe_rx_buffer_flip
which is currently only called on XDP_TX and XDP_REDIRECT, it forgets
to add the tailroom for skb_shared_info. This breaks XDP_REDIRECT, for
veth and cpumap. Fix by adding size of skb_shared_info tailroom.

%016llX to display the u64 DSN.

This should have equivalent behavior on both Little and Big Endian
systems. The bus will have correctly ordered the dwords in the CPU
endian format, while pci_get_dsn() will correctly order the lower and
higher dwords into a u64.

040efdb14c intel: Replace zero-length array with flexible-array member
The current codebase makes use of the zero-length array language
extension to the C90 standard, but the preferred mechanism to declare
variable-length types such as these ones is a flexible array member[1][2],
introduced in C99:

struct foo {
        int stuff;
        struct boo array[];
};

By making use of the mechanism above, we will get a compiler warning
in case the flexible array does not occur last in the structure, which
will help us prevent some kind of undefined behavior bugs from being
inadvertently introduced[3] to the codebase from now on.

Also, notice that, dynamic memory allocations won't be affected by
this change:

"Flexible array members have incomplete type, and so the sizeof operator
may not be applied. As a quirk of the original implementation of
zero-length arrays, sizeof evaluates to zero."[1]

This issue was found with the help of Coccinelle.

4fad78ad64 ixgbe: Fix calculation of queue with VFs and flow director on interface flap
This patch fixes the calculation of queue when we restore flow director
filters after resetting adapter. In ixgbe_fdir_filter_restore(), filter's
vf may be zero which makes the queue outside of the rx_ring array.

The calculation is changed to the same as ixgbe_add_ethtool_fdir_entry().

Daniel Borkmann says:

====================
pull-request: bpf-next 2019-12-27

The following pull-request contains BPF updates for your *net-next* tree.

We've added 127 non-merge commits during the last 17 day(s) which contain
a total of 110 files changed, 6901 insertions(+), 2721 deletions(-).

There are three merge conflicts. Conflicts and resolution looks as follows:

1) Merge conflict in net/bpf/test_run.c:

There was a tree-wide cleanup c593642c8b ("treewide: Use sizeof_field() macro")
which gets in the way with b590cb5f80 ("bpf: Switch to offsetofend in
BPF_PROG_TEST_RUN"):

  <<<<<<< HEAD
          if (!range_is_zero(__skb, offsetof(struct __sk_buff, priority) +
                             sizeof_field(struct __sk_buff, priority),
  =======
          if (!range_is_zero(__skb, offsetofend(struct __sk_buff, priority),
  >>>>>>> 7c8dce4b16

There are a few occasions that look similar to this. Always take the chunk with
offsetofend(). Note that there is one where the fields differ in here:

  <<<<<<< HEAD
          if (!range_is_zero(__skb, offsetof(struct __sk_buff, tstamp) +
                             sizeof_field(struct __sk_buff, tstamp),
  =======
          if (!range_is_zero(__skb, offsetofend(struct __sk_buff, gso_segs),
  >>>>>>> 7c8dce4b16

Just take the one with offsetofend() /and/ gso_segs. Latter is correct due to
850a88cc40 ("bpf: Expose __sk_buff wire_len/gso_segs to BPF_PROG_TEST_RUN").

2) Merge conflict in arch/riscv/net/bpf_jit_comp.c:

(I'm keeping Bjorn in Cc here for a double-check in case I got it wrong.)

  <<<<<<< HEAD
          if (is_13b_check(off, insn))
                  return -1;
          emit(rv_blt(tcc, RV_REG_ZERO, off >> 1), ctx);
  =======
          emit_branch(BPF_JSLT, RV_REG_T1, RV_REG_ZERO, off, ctx);
  >>>>>>> 7c8dce4b16

Result should look like:

          emit_branch(BPF_JSLT, tcc, RV_REG_ZERO, off, ctx);

3) Merge conflict in arch/riscv/include/asm/pgtable.h:

  <<<<<<< HEAD
  =======
  #define VMALLOC_SIZE     (KERN_VIRT_SIZE >> 1)
  #define VMALLOC_END      (PAGE_OFFSET - 1)
  #define VMALLOC_START    (PAGE_OFFSET - VMALLOC_SIZE)

  #define BPF_JIT_REGION_SIZE     (SZ_128M)
  #define BPF_JIT_REGION_START    (PAGE_OFFSET - BPF_JIT_REGION_SIZE)
  #define BPF_JIT_REGION_END      (VMALLOC_END)

  /*
   * Roughly size the vmemmap space to be large enough to fit enough
   * struct pages to map half the virtual address space. Then
   * position vmemmap directly below the VMALLOC region.
   */
  #define VMEMMAP_SHIFT \
          (CONFIG_VA_BITS - PAGE_SHIFT - 1 + STRUCT_PAGE_MAX_SHIFT)
  #define VMEMMAP_SIZE    BIT(VMEMMAP_SHIFT)
  #define VMEMMAP_END     (VMALLOC_START - 1)
  #define VMEMMAP_START   (VMALLOC_START - VMEMMAP_SIZE)

  #define vmemmap         ((struct page *)VMEMMAP_START)

  >>>>>>> 7c8dce4b16

Only take the BPF_* defines from there and move them higher up in the
same file. Remove the rest from the chunk. The VMALLOC_* etc defines
got moved via 01f52e16b8 ("riscv: define vmemmap before pfn_to_page
calls"). Result:

  [...]
  #define __S101  PAGE_READ_EXEC
  #define __S110  PAGE_SHARED_EXEC
  #define __S111  PAGE_SHARED_EXEC

  #define VMALLOC_SIZE     (KERN_VIRT_SIZE >> 1)
  #define VMALLOC_END      (PAGE_OFFSET - 1)
  #define VMALLOC_START    (PAGE_OFFSET - VMALLOC_SIZE)

  #define BPF_JIT_REGION_SIZE     (SZ_128M)
  #define BPF_JIT_REGION_START    (PAGE_OFFSET - BPF_JIT_REGION_SIZE)
  #define BPF_JIT_REGION_END      (VMALLOC_END)

  /*
   * Roughly size the vmemmap space to be large enough to fit enough
   * struct pages to map half the virtual address space. Then
   * position vmemmap directly below the VMALLOC region.
   */
  #define VMEMMAP_SHIFT \
          (CONFIG_VA_BITS - PAGE_SHIFT - 1 + STRUCT_PAGE_MAX_SHIFT)
  #define VMEMMAP_SIZE    BIT(VMEMMAP_SHIFT)
  #define VMEMMAP_END     (VMALLOC_START - 1)
  #define VMEMMAP_START   (VMALLOC_START - VMEMMAP_SIZE)

  [...]

Let me know if there are any other issues.

Anyway, the main changes are:

1) Extend bpftool to produce a struct (aka "skeleton") tailored and specific
   to a provided BPF object file. This provides an alternative, simplified API
   compared to standard libbpf interaction. Also, add libbpf extern variable
   resolution for .kconfig section to import Kconfig data, from Andrii Nakryiko.

2) Add BPF dispatcher for XDP which is a mechanism to avoid indirect calls by
   generating a branch funnel as discussed back in bpfconf'19 at LSF/MM. Also,
   add various BPF riscv JIT improvements, from Björn Töpel.

3) Extend bpftool to allow matching BPF programs and maps by name,
   from Paul Chaignon.

4) Support for replacing cgroup BPF programs attached with BPF_F_ALLOW_MULTI
   flag for allowing updates without service interruption, from Andrey Ignatov.

5) Cleanup and simplification of ring access functions for AF_XDP with a
   bonus of 0-5% performance improvement, from Magnus Karlsson.

6) Enable BPF JITs for x86-64 and arm64 by default. Also, final version of
   audit support for BPF, from Daniel Borkmann and latter with Jiri Olsa.

7) Move and extend test_select_reuseport into BPF program tests under
   BPF selftests, from Jakub Sitnicki.

8) Various BPF sample improvements for xdpsock for customizing parameters
   to set up and benchmark AF_XDP, from Jay Jayatheerthan.

9) Improve libbpf to provide a ulimit hint on permission denied errors.
   Also change XDP sample programs to attach in driver mode by default,
   from Toke Høiland-Jørgensen.

10) Extend BPF test infrastructure to allow changing skb mark from tc BPF
    programs, from Nikita V. Shirokov.

11) Optimize prologue code sequence in BPF arm32 JIT, from Russell King.

12) Fix xdp_redirect_cpu BPF sample to manually attach to tracepoints after
    libbpf conversion, from Jesper Dangaard Brouer.

13) Minor misc improvements from various others.

f8509aa078 xsk: ixgbe: i40e: ice: mlx5: Xsk_umem_discard_addr to xsk_umem_release_addr
Change the name of xsk_umem_discard_addr to xsk_umem_release_addr to
better reflect the new naming of the AF_XDP queue manipulation
functions. As this functions is used by drivers implementing support
for AF_XDP zero-copy, it requires a name change to these drivers. The
function xsk_umem_release_addr_rq has also changed name in the same
fashion.

c0fdccfd22 net/ixgbe: Fix concurrency issues between config flow and XSK
Use synchronize_rcu to wait until the XSK wakeup function finishes
before destroying the resources it uses:

1. ixgbe_down already calls synchronize_rcu after setting __IXGBE_DOWN.

2. After switching the XDP program, call synchronize_rcu to let
ixgbe_xsk_wakeup exit before the XDP program is freed.

3. Changing the number of channels brings the interface down.

4. Disabling UMEM sets __IXGBE_TX_DISABLED before closing hardware
resources and resetting xsk_umem. Check that bit in ixgbe_xsk_wakeup to
avoid using the XDP ring when it's already destroyed. synchronize_rcu is
called from ixgbe_txrx_ring_disable.

0843aa8f12 ixgbe: need_wakeup flag might not be set for Tx
The need_wakeup flag for Tx might not be set for AF_XDP sockets that
are only used to send packets. This happens if there is at least one
outstanding packet that has not been completed by the hardware and we
get that corresponding completion (which will not generate an
interrupt since interrupts are disabled in the napi poll loop) between
the time we stopped processing the Tx completions and interrupts are
enabled again. In this case, the need_wakeup flag will have been
cleared at the end of the Tx completion processing as we believe we
will get an interrupt from the outstanding completion at a later point
in time. But if this completion interrupt occurs before interrupts
are enable, we lose it and should at that point really have set the
need_wakeup flag since there are no more outstanding completions that
can generate an interrupt to continue the processing. When this
happens, user space will see a Tx queue need_wakeup of 0 and skip
issuing a syscall, which means will never get into the Tx processing
again and we have a deadlock.

This patch introduces a quick fix for this issue by just setting the
need_wakeup flag for Tx to 1 all the time. I am working on a proper
fix for this that will toggle the flag appropriately, but it is more
challenging than I anticipated and I am afraid that this patch will
not be completed before the merge window closes, therefore this easier
fix for now. This fix has a negative performance impact in the range
of 0% to 4%. Towards the higher end of the scale if you have driver
and application on the same core and issue a lot of packets, and
towards no negative impact if you use two cores, lower transmission
speeds and/or a workload that also receives packets.

12299132b3 net: ethernet: intel: Demote MTU change prints to debug
Changing a network device MTU can be a fairly frequent operation, and
failure to change the MTU is reflected to user-space properly, both by
an appropriate message as well as by looking at whether the device's MTU
matches the configuration.

Demote the prints to debug prints by using netdev_dbg(), making all
Intel wired LAN drivers consistent, since they used a mixture of PCI
device and network device prints before.

07066d9dc3 ixgbe: protect TX timestamping from API misuse
HW timestamping can only be requested for a packet if the NIC is first
setup via ioctl(SIOCSHWTSTAMP). If this step was skipped, then the ixgbe
driver still allowed TX packets to request HW timestamping. In this
situation, we see 'clearing Tx Timestamp hang' noise in the log.

Fix this by checking that the NIC is configured for HW TX timestamping
before accepting a HW TX timestamping request.

780e354dcd ixgbe: Make use of cpumask_local_spread to improve RSS locality
This patch is meant to address locality issues present in the ixgbe driver
when it is loaded on a system supporting multiple NUMA nodes and more CPUs
then the device can map in a 1:1 fashion. Instead of just arbitrarily
mapping itself to CPUs 0-62 it would make much more sense to map itself to
the local CPUs first, and then map itself to any remaining CPUs that might
be used.

The first effect of this is that queue 0 should always be allocated on the
local CPU/NUMA node. This is important as it is the default destination if
a packet doesn't match any existing flow director filter or RSS rule and as
such having it local should help to reduce QPI cross-talk in the event of
an unrecognized traffic type.

In addition this should increase the likelihood of the RSS queues being
allocated and used on CPUs local to the device while the ATR/Flow Director
queues would be able to route traffic directly to the CPU that is likely to
be processing it.

Fix that by limiting the number of descriptors to clean by the number

'ixgbe_clean_xdp_tx_irq()' function refactored to look more like
'ixgbe_xsk_clean_tx_ring()' since we're allowed to directly use
'next_to_clean' and 'next_to_use' indexes.

377228accb ixgbe: Prevent u8 wrapping of ITR value to something less than 10us
There were a couple cases where the ITR value generated via the adaptive
ITR scheme could exceed 126. This resulted in the value becoming either 0
or something less than 10. Switching back and forth between a value less
than 10 and a value greater than 10 can cause issues as certain hardware
features such as RSC to not function well when the ITR value has dropped
that low.

In ixgbe_configure_clsu32(), 'jump', 'input', and 'mask' are allocated

e7ba676c61 ixgbe: sync the first fragment unconditionally
In Xen environment, if Xen-swiotlb is enabled, ixgbe driver
could possibly allocate a page, DMA memory buffer, for the first
fragment which is not suitable for Xen-swiotlb to do DMA operations.
Xen-swiotlb have to internally allocate another page for doing DMA
operations. This mechanism requires syncing the data from the internal
page to the page which ixgbe sends to upper network stack. However,
since commit f3213d9321 ("ixgbe: Update driver to make use of DMA
attributes in Rx path"), the unmap operation is performed with
DMA_ATTR_SKIP_CPU_SYNC. As a result, the sync is not performed.
Since the sync isn't performed, the upper network stack could receive
a incomplete network packet. By incomplete, it means the linear data
on the first fragment(between skb->head and skb->end) is invalid. So
we have to copy the data from the internal xen-swiotlb page to the page
which ixgbe sends to upper network stack through the sync operation.

More details from Alexander Duyck:
Specifically since we are mapping the frame with
DMA_ATTR_SKIP_CPU_SYNC we have to unmap with that as well. As a result
a sync is not performed on an unmap and must be done manually as we
skipped it for the first frag. As such we need to always sync before
possibly performing a page unmap operation.

1e46c09ec1 Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/bpf/bpf-next
Daniel Borkmann says:

====================
The following pull-request contains BPF updates for your *net-next* tree.

The main changes are:

1) Add the ability to use unaligned chunks in the AF_XDP umem. By
   relaxing where the chunks can be placed, it allows to use an
   arbitrary buffer size and place whenever there is a free
   address in the umem. Helps more seamless DPDK AF_XDP driver
   integration. Support for i40e, ixgbe and mlx5e, from Kevin and
   Maxim.

2) Addition of a wakeup flag for AF_XDP tx and fill rings so the
   application can wake up the kernel for rx/tx processing which
   avoids busy-spinning of the latter, useful when app and driver
   is located on the same core. Support for i40e, ixgbe and mlx5e,
   from Magnus and Maxim.

3) bpftool fixes for printf()-like functions so compiler can actually
   enforce checks, bpftool build system improvements for custom output
   directories, and addition of 'bpftool map freeze' command, from Quentin.

4) Support attaching/detaching XDP programs from 'bpftool net' command,
   from Daniel.

5) Automatic xskmap cleanup when AF_XDP socket is released, and several
   barrier/{read,write}_once fixes in AF_XDP code, from Björn.

6) Relicense of bpf_helpers.h/bpf_endian.h for future libbpf
   inclusion as well as libbpf versioning improvements, from Andrii.

7) Several new BPF kselftests for verifier precision tracking, from Alexei.

8) Several BPF kselftest fixes wrt endianess to run on s390x, from Ilya.

9) And more BPF kselftest improvements all over the place, from Stanislav.

10) Add simple BPF map op cache for nfp driver to batch dumps, from Jakub.

11) AF_XDP socket umem mapping improvements for 32bit archs, from Ivan.

12) Add BPF-to-BPF call and BTF line info support for s390x JIT, from Yauheni.

13) Small optimization in arm64 JIT to spare 1 insns for BPF_MOD, from Jerin.

14) Fix an error check in bpf_tcp_gen_syncookie() helper, from Petar.

This new helper function takes a flow block list per-driver, which is

This patch also introduces the flow_block_command and

c4cde5804d Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/bpf/bpf-next
Daniel Borkmann says:

====================
pull-request: bpf-next 2019-07-03

The following pull-request contains BPF updates for your *net-next* tree.

There is a minor merge conflict in mlx5 due to 8960b38932 ("linux/dim:
Rename externally used net_dim members") which has been pulled into your
tree in the meantime, but resolution seems not that bad ... getting current
bpf-next out now before there's coming more on mlx5. ;) I'm Cc'ing Saeed
just so he's aware of the resolution below:

** First conflict in drivers/net/ethernet/mellanox/mlx5/core/en_main.c:

  <<<<<<< HEAD
  static int mlx5e_open_cq(struct mlx5e_channel *c,
                           struct dim_cq_moder moder,
                           struct mlx5e_cq_param *param,
                           struct mlx5e_cq *cq)
  =======
  int mlx5e_open_cq(struct mlx5e_channel *c, struct net_dim_cq_moder moder,
                    struct mlx5e_cq_param *param, struct mlx5e_cq *cq)
  >>>>>>> e5a3e259ef

Resolution is to take the second chunk and rename net_dim_cq_moder into
dim_cq_moder. Also the signature for mlx5e_open_cq() in ...

  drivers/net/ethernet/mellanox/mlx5/core/en.h +977

... and in mlx5e_open_xsk() ...

  drivers/net/ethernet/mellanox/mlx5/core/en/xsk/setup.c +64

... needs the same rename from net_dim_cq_moder into dim_cq_moder.

** Second conflict in drivers/net/ethernet/mellanox/mlx5/core/en_main.c:

  <<<<<<< HEAD
          int cpu = cpumask_first(mlx5_comp_irq_get_affinity_mask(priv->mdev, ix));
          struct dim_cq_moder icocq_moder = {0, 0};
          struct net_device *netdev = priv->netdev;
          struct mlx5e_channel *c;
          unsigned int irq;
  =======
          struct net_dim_cq_moder icocq_moder = {0, 0};
  >>>>>>> e5a3e259ef

Take the second chunk and rename net_dim_cq_moder into dim_cq_moder
as well.

Let me know if you run into any issues. Anyway, the main changes are:

1) Long-awaited AF_XDP support for mlx5e driver, from Maxim.

2) Addition of two new per-cgroup BPF hooks for getsockopt and
   setsockopt along with a new sockopt program type which allows more
   fine-grained pass/reject settings for containers. Also add a sock_ops
   callback that can be selectively enabled on a per-socket basis and is
   executed for every RTT to help tracking TCP statistics, both features
   from Stanislav.

3) Follow-up fix from loops in precision tracking which was not propagating
   precision marks and as a result verifier assumed that some branches were
   not taken and therefore wrongly removed as dead code, from Alexei.

4) Fix BPF cgroup release synchronization race which could lead to a
   double-free if a leaf's cgroup_bpf object is released and a new BPF
   program is attached to the one of ancestor cgroups in parallel, from Roman.

5) Support for bulking XDP_TX on veth devices which improves performance
   in some cases by around 9%, from Toshiaki.

6) Allow for lookups into BPF devmap and improve feedback when calling into
   bpf_redirect_map() as lookup is now performed right away in the helper
   itself, from Toke.

7) Add support for fq's Earliest Departure Time to the Host Bandwidth
   Manager (HBM) sample BPF program, from Lawrence.

8) Various cleanups and minor fixes all over the place from many others.

4bce4e5cb6 xsk: Return the whole xdp_desc from xsk_umem_consume_tx
Some drivers want to access the data transmitted in order to implement
acceleration features of the NICs. It is also useful in AF_XDP TX flow.

Change the xsk_umem_consume_tx API to return the whole xdp_desc, that
contains the data pointer, length and DMA address, instead of only the
latter two. Adapt the implementation of i40e and ixgbe to this change.

655c914145 ixgbe: Check DDM existence in transceiver before access
Some transceivers may comply with SFF-8472 but not implement the Digital
Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) interface described in it. The existence of
such area is specified by bit 6 of byte 92, set to 1 if implemented.

Currently, due to not checking this bit ixgbe fails trying to read SFP
module's eeprom with the follow message:

ethtool -m enP51p1s0f0
Cannot get Module EEPROM data: Input/output error

Because it fails to read the additional 256 bytes in which it was assumed
to exist the DDM data.

This issue was noticed using a Mellanox Passive DAC PN 01FT738. The eeprom
data was confirmed by Mellanox as correct and present in other Passive
DACs in from other manufacturers.

cd45832069 ixgbe: implement support for SDP/PPS output on X550 hardware
Similar to the X540 hardware, enable support for generating a 1pps
output signal on SDP0.

This support is slightly different to the X540 hardware, because of the
register layout changes. First, the system time register is now
represented in 'cycles' and 'billions of cycles'. Second, we need to
also program the TSSDP register, as well as the ESDP register. Third,
the clock output uses only FREQOUT, instead of a full 64bit value for
the output clock period. Finally, we have to use the ST0 bit instead of
the SYNCLK bit in the TSAUXC register.

This support should work even for the hardware with a higher frequency
clock, as it carefully takes into account the multiply and shift of the
cycle counter used.

We also set the pps configuration to 1, since we now support generating
a pulse per second output.
