44693d74f5 media: coda: fix frame_mem_ctrl for YUV420 and YVU420 formats
The frame memory control register value is currently determined
before userspace selects the final capture format and never corrected.
Update ctx->frame_mem_ctrl in __coda_start_decoding() to fix decoding
into YUV420 or YVU420 capture buffers.

cal->ctx[i] is allocated with this loop
	for (i = 0; i < cal->data->num_csi2_phy; ++i) {
and accessed in the error handler and else where with this loop
	for (i = 0; i < cal->num_contexts; i++)
Because the first loop contains a continue statement
before cal->num_contexts is incremented, using i as the
indexer will leave gaps in the cal->ctx[].

So use cal->num_contexts as the indexer.

e58430e1d4 media: rockchip/rga: fix error handling in probe
There are a few bugs in this code.  1)  No checks for whether
dma_alloc_attrs() or __get_free_pages() failed.  2)  If
video_register_device() fails it doesn't clean up the dma attrs or the
free pages.  3)  The video_device_release() function frees "vfd" which
leads to a use after free on the next line.  The call to
video_unregister_device() is not required so I have just removed that.

f4a87d54c5 media: ti-vpe: cal: add embedded data support
Add support for capturing embedded data from the sensor. The only
difference with capturing pixel data and embedded data is that we need
to ensure the PIX PROC is disabled for embedded data so that CAL doesn't
repack the data.

71e3a18114 media: ti-vpe: cal: allow more than 1 source pads
CAL RX has a single sink and a single source pad. To support multiple
streams, we will have multiple source pads (up to 8, one for each
CAL context).

Change the driver to allow creating more source pads and change the code
accordingly to handle multiple source pads. We still keep
CAL_CAMERARX_NUM_SOURCE_PADS as 1, and the behavior is unchanged.

Also rename CAL_CAMERARX_PAD_SOURCE to CAL_CAMERARX_PAD_FIRST_SOURCE to
highlight that it's the first source.

6cb0eee34c media: ti-vpe: cal: add camerarx locking
We don't have any locking in camerarx for the subdev ops. We have
managed fine so far without locking, but in the future multiple video
capture devices can use the same camerarx, and locking is a must.

Add a mutex to protect the camerarx subdev ops. Some of the functions
were slightly restructured to make lock handling cleaner.

892c37f8a3 media: ti-vpe: cal: fix queuing of the initial buffer
When starting streaming the driver currently programs the buffer
address to the CAL base-address register and assigns the buffer pointer
to ctx->dma.pending. This is not correct, as the buffer is not
"pending", but active, and causes the first buffer to be needlessly
written twice.

Fix this by assigning the buffer pointer to ctx->dma.active.

9e67f24e4d media: ti-vpe: cal: fix ctx uninitialization
Somewhere along the way the context uninitialization has gone a bit odd:

* We have cal_ctx_create() but no matching destroy call, but we still
need to call cal_ctx_v4l2_cleanup() for each context.

* We have cal_media_cleanup() which calls cal_ctx_v4l2_cleanup() for all
contexts, but cal_media_init() is not where the contexts are created.

* The order of uninit steps in cal_remove() is different than the error
handling path in cal_probe().

* cal_probe()'s error handling calls cal_ctx_v4l2_cleanup() for each
context, but also calls cal_media_clean(), doing the same context
cleanup twice.

So fix these, by introducing cal_ctx_destroy(), and using that in
appropriate places instead of calling cal_ctx_v4l2_cleanup() in
cal_media_clean(). Also use normal kzalloc (and kfree) instead of devm
version as we anyway do manual cleanup for each context.

b65836f40a media: ti-vpe: cal: cleanup phy iteration in cal_remove
Most of the driver has moved from ARRAY_SIZE(cal->phy) to
cal->data->num_csi2_phy, but we have one place left in cal_remove. Also,
checking for cal->phy[i] != NULL is not needed as we always have all the
phys instantiated.

75e7e58bfa media: ti-vpe: cal: support 8 DMA contexts
The current driver only ever needs 2 DMA contexts (one per PHY), but we
need to use more of the 8 contexts to add support for multiple streams.

Change the code so that we allocate DMA contexts as needed, which at
this time is 1 per PHY, but could be up to 8.

2e7e09a902 media: ti-vpe: cal: remove cal_camerarx->fmtinfo
struct cal_camerarx has fmtinfo field which is used to point to the
current active input format. The only place where the field is used is
cal_camerarx_get_ext_link_freq().

With multiple streams the whole concept of single input format is not
valid anymore, so lets remove the field by looking up the format in
cal_camerarx_get_ext_link_freq(), making it easier to handle the
multistream-case in the following patches.

8bfd1af2fd media: ti-vpe: cal: init ctx->v_fmt correctly in MC mode
CAL driver enumerates mbus codes in the connected subdev to create a
list of supported formats reported to userspace, and initializes
ctx->v_fmt and ctx->fmtinfo to one of those formats.

This works fine for legacy mode, but is not correct for MC mode, and the
list is not even used in MC mode.

Fix this by adding a new function, cal_ctx_v4l2_init_mc_format, which
only initializes ctx->v_fmt and ctx->fmtinfo to a default value.

1a7adfda34 media: ti-vpe: cal: add cal_ctx_wr_dma_enable and fix a race
I have not noticed any errors due to this, but the DMA configuration
looks racy. Setting the DMA mode bitfield in CAL_WR_DMA_CTRL supposedly
enables the DMA. However, the driver currently a) continues configuring
the DMA after setting the mode, and b) enables the DMA interrupts only
after setting the mode.

This probably doesn't cause any issues as there should be no data coming
in to the DMA yet, but it's still better to fix this.

Add a new function, cal_ctx_wr_dma_enable(), to set the DMA mode field,
and call that function only after the DMA config and the irq enabling
has been done.

8927a9f642 media: ti-vpe: cal: add 'use_pix_proc' field
We already have functions to reserve and release a pix proc unit, but we
always reserve such and the code expects the pix proc unit to be used.

Add a new field, 'use_pix_proc', to indicate if the pix prox unit has
been reserved and should be used. Use the flag to skip programming pix
proc unit when not needed.

Note that we still always set the use_pix_proc flag to true.

4cb3a0f389 media: ti-vpe: cal: allocate pix proc dynamically
CAL has 4 pixel processing units but the units are not needed e.g. for
metadata. As we could be capturing 4 pixel streams and 4 metadata
streams, i.e. using 8 DMA contexts, we cannot assign a pixel processing
unit to every DMA context. Instead we need to reserve a pixel processing
unit only when needed.

Add functions to reserve and release a pix proc unit, and use them in
cal_ctx_prepare/unprepare. Note that for the time being we still always
reserve a pix proc unit.

af981fc2e6 media: ti-vpe: cal: remove wait when stopping camerarx
Asserting ComplexIO reset seems to affect the HW (ie. asserting reset
will break an active capture), but the RESET_DONE bit never changes to
"reset is ongoing" state. Thus we always get a timeout.

Drop the wait, as it seems to achieve nothing.

0de6f41a06 media: ti-vpe: cal: Add pixel processing context
CAL has 4 pixel processing contexts (PIX PROC) of which the driver
currently uses pix proc 0 for PHY0, and pix proc 1 for PHY1 (as the
driver supports only a single source per PHY).

Add a pix_proc field to cal_ctx to allow us to use different pix proc
contexts in the future

6266ddefec media: ti-vpe: cal: Add CSI2 context
CAL has 8 CSI2 contexts per PHY, which are used to tag the incoming
data.  The current driver only uses the first context, but we need to
support all of them to implement multi-stream support.

Add a csi2_ctx field to cal_ctx, which indicates which of the 8 CSI2
contexts is used for the particular cal_ctx. Also clean up the context
register macros to take the CSI2 context number as a parameter.

Note that before this patch the CSI2 context used for both PHYs was
always 0. This patch always uses cal_ctx index number as the CSI2
context. There is no functional difference, but this approach will work
also in the future when we use more than 1 CSI2 context per PHY.

bbdb9ae8d4 media: ti-vpe: cal: use v4l2_get_link_freq
CAL driver uses V4L2_CID_PIXEL_RATE to get the required pixel rate, and
then changes that value to link rate before configuring the registers.

Rewrite the code to use v4l2_get_link_freq(), which simplifies the code
as we get the link rate directly, and it also adds support for
V4L2_CID_LINK_FREQ.

For some reason CAL_CTRL is written at the end of cal_ctx_wr_dma_config.
CAL_CTRL is a global (for CAL) register, so it should be independent of
contexts.

Move the code to cal_runtime_resume().

123aaf816b media: atmel: atmel-sama5d2-isc: fix YUYV format
SAMA5D2 does not have the YCYC field for the RLP (rounding, limiting,
packaging) module.
The YCYC field is supposed to work with interleaved YUV formats like YUYV.
In SAMA5D2, we have to use YYCC field, which is used for both planar
formats like YUV420 and interleaved formats like YUYV.
Fix the according rlp callback to replace the generic YCYC field (which
makes more sense from a logical point of view) with the required YYCC
field.

The logic at delta_ipc_open() tries to copy past the size of
the name passed to it:

	drivers/media/platform/sti/delta/delta-ipc.c:178 delta_ipc_open() error: __memcpy() 'name' too small (17 vs 32)

Basically,this function is called just one with:

	ret = delta_ipc_open(pctx, "JPEG_DECODER_HW0", ...);

The string used there has just 17 bytes. Yet, the logic tries
to copy the entire name size (32 bytes), which is plain wrong.

Replace it by strscpy, which is good enough to copy the string,
warranting that this will be NUL-terminated.

7ec1c4a57c media: imx-jpeg: Constify static struct mxc_jpeg_fmt
It is only read-from, so make it const. In order to be able to do this,
constify all places where mxc_jpeg_fmt is used, in function arguments,
return values and pointers. On top of that, make the name a pointer to
const char.

On aarch64, this shrinks object code size with 550 bytes with gcc 11.1.0,
and almost 2kB with clang 12.0.0.

0a7790be18 media: subdev: disallow ioctl for saa6588/davinci
The saa6588_ioctl() function expects to get called from other kernel
functions with a 'saa6588_command' pointer, but I found nothing stops it
from getting called from user space instead, which seems rather dangerous.

The same thing happens in the davinci vpbe driver with its VENC_GET_FLD
command.

As a quick fix, add a separate .command() callback pointer for this
driver and change the two callers over to that.  This change can easily
get backported to stable kernels if necessary, but since there are only
two drivers, we may want to eventually replace this with a set of more
specialized callbacks in the long run.

0d346d2a6f media: v4l2-subdev: add subdev-wide state struct
We have 'struct v4l2_subdev_pad_config' which contains configuration for
a single pad used for the TRY functionality, and an array of those
structs is passed to various v4l2_subdev_pad_ops.

I was working on subdev internal routing between pads, and realized that
there's no way to add TRY functionality for routes, which is not pad
specific configuration. Adding a separate struct for try-route config
wouldn't work either, as e.g. set-fmt needs to know the try-route
configuration to propagate the settings.

This patch adds a new struct, 'struct v4l2_subdev_state' (which at the
moment only contains the v4l2_subdev_pad_config array) and the new
struct is used in most of the places where v4l2_subdev_pad_config was
used. All v4l2_subdev_pad_ops functions taking v4l2_subdev_pad_config
are changed to instead take v4l2_subdev_state.

The changes to drivers/media/v4l2-core/v4l2-subdev.c and
include/media/v4l2-subdev.h were written by hand, and all the driver
changes were done with the semantic patch below. The spatch needs to be
applied to a select list of directories. I used the following shell
commands to apply the spatch:

There is a regular need in the kernel to provide a way to declare having
a dynamically sized set of trailing elements in a structure. Kernel code
should always use “flexible array members”[1] for these cases. The older
style of one-element or zero-length arrays should no longer be used[2].

Use flexible-array members in struct hfi_msg_sys_property_info_pkt and
hfi_msg_session_property_info_pkt instead of one-element arrays, and
refactor the code accordingly.

Also, this helps with the ongoing efforts to enable -Warray-bounds by
fixing the following warnings:

1289169842 media: xilinx: simplify get fourcc logic
Right now, there are two calls for xvip_get_format_by_fourcc().
If the first one fails, it is called again in order to pick
the first available format: V4L2_PIX_FMT_YUYV.

This ends by producing a smatch warnings:
	drivers/media/platform/xilinx/xilinx-dma.c:555 __xvip_dma_try_format() error: 'info' dereferencing possible ERR_PTR()
	drivers/media/platform/xilinx/xilinx-dma.c: drivers/media/platform/xilinx/xilinx-dma.c:664 xvip_dma_init() error: 'dma->fmtinfo' dereferencing possible ERR_PTR()

as it is hard for an static analyzer to ensure that calling
xvip_get_format_by_fourcc(XVIP_DMA_DEF_FORMAT) won't return an
error.

So, better to optimize the logic, ensuring that the function
will never return an error.

Vertical and Horizontal Scaler -> VHXS

Some products have this full pipeline (sama7g5), other products do not (sama5d2)

Add the modules to the isc base, and also extend the register range to include
the modules.

01fe904c9a media: exynos4-is: Fix a use after free in isp_video_release
In isp_video_release, file->private_data is freed via
_vb2_fop_release()->v4l2_fh_release(). But the freed
file->private_data is still used in v4l2_fh_is_singular_file()
->v4l2_fh_is_singular(file->private_data), which is a use
after free bug.

My patch uses a variable 'is_singular_file' to avoid the uaf.

There is a regular need in the kernel to provide a way to declare having
a dynamically sized set of trailing elements in a structure. Kernel code
should always use “flexible array members”[1] for these cases. The older
style of one-element or zero-length arrays should no longer be used[2].

Use flexible-array member in struct hfi_sys_set_property_pkt instead of
one-element array.

Also, this helps with the ongoing efforts to enable -Warray-bounds and
fix the following warnings:

3e465fc384 Revert "media: rcar_drif: fix a memory disclosure"
This reverts commit d39083234c.

Because of recent interactions with developers from @umn.edu, all
commits from them have been recently re-reviewed to ensure if they were
correct or not.

the media core already prevents memory disclosure on this codepath, so

Currently, the driver just assumes that PM runtime logic
succeded resuming the device.

That may not be the case, as pm_runtime_get_sync()
can fail (but keeping the usage count incremented).

Replace the code to use pm_runtime_resume_and_get(),
and letting it return the error code.

This way, if mtk_vcodec_dec_pw_on() fails, the logic
under fops_vcodec_open() will do the right thing and
return an error, instead of just assuming that the
device is ready to be used.

There are several issues in the way the atmel driver handles
pm_runtime_get_sync():

- it doesn't check return codes;
- it doesn't properly decrement the usage_count on all places;
- it starts streaming even if pm_runtime_get_sync() fails.
- while it tries to get pm_runtime at the clock enable logic,
  it doesn't check if the operation was suceeded.

Replace all occurrences of it to use the new kAPI:
pm_runtime_resume_and_get(), which ensures that, if the
return code is not negative, the usage_count was incremented.

With that, add additional checks when this is called, in order
to ensure that errors will be properly addressed.

4cba5473c5 media: venus: Rework error fail recover logic
The Venus code has a sort of watchdog that attempts to recover
from IP errors, implemented as a delayed work job, which
calls venus_sys_error_handler().

Right now, it has several issues:

1. It assumes that PM runtime resume never fails

2. It internally runs two while() loops that also assume that
   PM runtime will never fail to go idle:

	while (pm_runtime_active(core->dev_dec) || pm_runtime_active(core->dev_enc))

	while (core->pmdomains[0] && pm_runtime_active(core->pmdomains[0]))
		usleep_range(1000, 1500);

3. It uses an OR to merge all return codes and then report to the user

4. If the hardware never recovers, it keeps running on every 10ms,
   flooding the syslog with 2 messages (so, up to 200 messages
   per second).

Rework the code, in order to prevent that, by:

1. check the return code from PM runtime resume;
2. don't let the while() loops run forever;
3. store the failed event;
4. use warn ratelimited when it fails to recover.

686ee9b625 media: venus: don't de-reference NULL pointers at IRQ time
Smatch is warning that:
	drivers/media/platform/qcom/venus/hfi_venus.c:1100 venus_isr() warn: variable dereferenced before check 'hdev' (see line 1097)

The logic basically does:
	hdev = to_hfi_priv(core);

with is translated to:
	hdev = core->priv;

If the IRQ code can receive a NULL pointer for hdev, there's
a bug there, as it will first try to de-reference the pointer,
and then check if it is null.

After looking at the code, it seems that this indeed can happen:
Basically, the venus IRQ thread is started with:
	devm_request_threaded_irq()
So, it will only be freed after the driver unbinds.

In order to prevent the IRQ code to work with freed data,
the logic at venus_hfi_destroy() sets core->priv to NULL,
which would make the IRQ code to ignore any pending IRQs.

There is, however a race condition, as core->priv is set
to NULL only after being freed. So, we need also to move the
core->priv = NULL to happen earlier.

4cd15d84ca media: VIDEO_IMX8_JPEG should depend on ARCH_MXC and not default to m
The i.MX8 QXP/QM integrated JPEG encoder/decoder is only present on
Freescale/NXP i.MX8 QXP and QM SoCs.  Hence add a dependency on
ARCH_MXC, to prevent asking the user about this driver when configuring
a kernel without i.MX8 support.

Drop the "default m" (which means "default y" if CONFIG_MODULES is not
enabled), as merely enabling CONFIG_COMPILE_TEST should not enable
additional code.

MTK H264 Encoder(VENC_SYS) and VP8 Encoder(VENC_LT_SYS) are two
independent hardware instance. They have their owner interrupt,
register mapping, and special clocks.

This patch separates them into two devices. This is a preparing
patch for adding device_link between the larbs and venc-device.

When in vcodec_control_v4() on the 4xx path we select between one of two
vcodec cores to toggle power control bits. In 6xx there is only one core
which offsets the relevant control registers to a slightly different

This patch adds a 6xx specific boot logic. The goal is to share as much
code as possible between 3xx, 4xx and 6xx silicon.

We need to do a different write to WRAPPER_INTR_MASK with an additional
write to CPU_CS_H2XSOFTINTEN_V6 and CPU_CS_X2RPMh_V6.

The other writes are the same for 6xx and non-6xx silicon albeit at
different absolute relative locations to the base of the venus address
space.

3c5e894dd3 media: venus: hfi: Define block offsets for V6 hardware
This commit defines a range of new base addresses for already defined
blocks.

- CPU_BASE_V6
- CPU_CS_BASE_V6
- CPU_IC_BASE_V6
- WRAPPER_BASE_V6

The base addresses of the blocks are slightly different for 6xx but, aside
from that are layout and bit compatible.

New 6xx specific block addresses will be added in separate commits.

ff2a7013b3 media: venus: hfi,pm,firmware: Convert to block relative addressing
An upcoming silicon change places a number of existing blocks within the
Venus at different relative offsets to the base address of IO region.

In order to handle this difference this patch changes the address offsets
of the registers to function as offsets relative to the relevant sub-block
of registers within the IO region not the base address of the IO region.

As a result of this change venus_readl() and venus_writel() are deleted.

b4053a2097 media: venus: core: Add io base variables for each block
New silicon means that the pre-determined offsets we have been using
in this driver no longer hold. Existing blocks of registers can exist at
different offsets relative to the IO base address.

This commit adds a routine to assign the IO base hooks a subsequent commit
will convert from absolute to relative addressing.

The Venus v1 behaves differently comparing with the other Venus
version in respect to capability parsing and when they are send

2f6f8af672 media: camss: Refactor VFE power domain toggling
For Titan ISPs clocks fail to re-enable during vfe_get()
after any vfe has been halted and its corresponding power
domain power has been detached.

Since all of the clocks depend on all of the PDs, per
VFE PD detaching is no option for Gen2 HW.

In order to not have regressions on for Gen1 HW, refactor
the power domain management into hardware version specific
code paths.

e19b14b187 media: camss: Add missing format identifiers
The CSI-2 spec defines format identifier for Data Type (DT),
and how the Decode Format (DF) & Encode Format (EF) are implemented.
The spec does however not define the DF, EF or Plain Format (PF)
identifiers, as those are vendor specific.

Plain formats describe the size of the pixels written by the RDI
units to memory. PLAIN8 for example has the size 8 bits, and
PLAIN32 32 bits. The appropriate Plain Format is determined by
the Decode Format used. The smallest Plain Format that is able
to contain a pixel of the used Decode Format is the appropriate
one to use.

As the vendor specific identifiers differ between hardware
generations, split them out into separate headers.

Add register definitions for version 170 of the Titan architecture
and implement support for the RDI output mode.

The RDI mode as opposed to the PIX output mode for the VFE unit does
not support any ISP functionality. This means essentially only
supporting dumping the output of the whatever the CSI decoder receives
from the sensor.

For example will a sensor outputting YUV pixel format frames, only
allow the VFE to dump those frames as they are received by the ISP
to memory through the RDI interface.
