1b7d57d717 ASoC: SOF: Don't set up widgets during topology parsing
In preparation for supporting dynamic pipelines, move the
widget setup, DAI config IPCs to the complete callback
during topology loading. For current topology where all
the pipelines are static, all the pipelines will be set up
during complete. For topologies with dynamic and static pipelines,
this will enable setting up only the static ones  during
topology loading. Reuse the sof_restore_pipelines() function for
this purpose and rename it to sof_set_up_pipelines().

0a2dea1f10 ASoC: SOF: Add new fields to snd_sof_route
Add two new fields to save the source widget and sink widget
pointers in struct snd_sof_route to make it easier to look up
routes by source/sink widget. Also, add a flag to indicate
if the route has been set up in the DSP. These will be used
when the dynamic pipeline feature is implemented and routes
will have to be set up at run time.

Also, add a new sof_tear_down_pipelines() callback, that will
used to reset the set up status for all routes during suspend.

2c28ecad0d ASoC: SOF: topology: Add new token for dynamic pipeline
Today, we set up all widgets required for all PCM streams
at the time of topology parsing even if they are not
used. An optimization would be to only set up the widgets
required for currently active PCM streams. This would give
the FW the opportunity to power gate unused memory blocks,
thereby saving power.

For dynamic pipelines, the widgets in the connected DAPM path
for each PCM will need to be set up at runtime. This patch
introduces a new token, DYNAMIC_PIPELINE, for scheduler type
widgets that indicate whether a pipeline should be set up
statically during topology load or at runtime when the PCM is
opened. Introduce a new field called dynamic_pipeline_widget
in struct snd_sof_widget to save the value of the parsed token.

The token is set only for the pipeline (scheduler type)
widget and must be propagated to all widgets in the same
pipeline during topology load. Introduce another field called
pipe_widget in struct snd_sof_widget that saves the pointer to
the scheduler widget with the same pipeline ID as that of the
widget. This field is populated when the pipeline completion
callback is invoked during topology loading.

415717e1e3 ASoC: topology: change the complete op in snd_soc_tplg_ops to return int
In the SOF driver, the operations performed in the complete callback
can fail and therefore topology loading should return an error in
such cases. So, change the signature of the complete op
in struct snd_soc_tplg_ops to return an int to return the error.

Also, amend the complete callback functions in the SOF driver and
the SKL driver to conform with the new signature.

d29d41e28e ASoC: topology: Add support for multiple kcontrol types to a widget
Current dapm widget has a single variable to describe its kcontrol's
type. As there can be many kcontrols in one widget it is inherently
presumed that the types are the same.

Lately there has been use cases where different types of kcontrols would
be needed for a single widget. Thus add pointer to dapm widget to hold
an array for different kcontrol types and modify the kcontrol creation
to operate in a loop based on individual kcontrol type.

Change control creation and deletion to use individual kcontrol types in
SOF driver. This is done in the same patch for not breaking bisect. SOF
driver is also currently the only one using the dapm widget
kcontrol_type.

7459f8b703 ASoC: SOF: topology: remove useless code
The patch "ASoC: SOF: Intel: hda: assign link DMA channel at run-time"
fixed the sof_link_hda_unload() to remove the call to the BE
hw_free op but left the rest of code that become redundant.

So, remove sof_link_hda_unload() along with the link_unload() op
entirely as it is not longer needed.

c1c03888f1 ASoC: SOF: parse multiple SSP DAI and hw configs
ASoC parses multiple hw_configs defined in topology. However currently
in SOF only the first config is used and others are discarded. First
change SOF driver to parse and save possible multiple configs in ssp
case. Also save the default config value provided by ASoC. Functionality
with only one defined config stays the same.

53129e66e4 ASoC: SOF: relax ABI checks and avoid unnecessary warnings
With recent SOF 1.7 pre-releases, kernel has been emitting following
warnings at probe:

[10006.645216] sof-audio-pci 0000:00:1f.3: warn: FW ABI is more recent than kernel
[10006.652137] sof-audio-pci 0000:00:1f.3: warn: topology ABI is more recent than kernel

The warnings are emitted due to increase of the patch-level in firmware
mainline (to 3.17.1). But the patch level should not be considered even
in the strict ABI check, so modify the kernel side logic that makes the
check and only consider the major.minor components.

When there is no TLV data in topology, extracting the TLV data
could result in a NULL pointer exception. Prevent this by making
sure that the TLV data exists before extracting it.

fca18e6298 ASoC: SOF: control: override volume info callback
ASoC dapm controls currently don't support more than 2 channels. This is
a problem for SOF-based devices where individual volume control cannot
be provided on the 4 DMIC input path.

If we want to provide controls for more than 2 channels, this patch
suggests a simple solution based on an override of the info callback.
For example, in the case with 4 channel DMIC PGAs, a sof_info callback
would be used. Mono and stereo cases will keep using the existing dapm
info callback.

A longer-term solution would be to remove the limits to 2 channels in
ASoC/DAPM/topology. This is a topic Intel is currently looking into,
e.g. by removing the use of 'reg' and 'rreg' fields and use arrays
instead. Such changes will be rather intrusive and touch multiple codec
and platform drivers. Removing restrictions is the right thing to do,
but this will need to be done in steps with lots of validation.

a5b8f71c54 ASoC: topology: Remove multistep topology loading
In theory topology can be loaded in multiple steps by providing index to
snd_soc_tplg_component_load, however, from usability point of view it
doesn't make sense, as can be seen from all current users loading
topology in one go. Remove the unnecessary parameter.

2263063fc4 ASoC: SOF: topology: fix the process being scheduled on core0 always
In commit 783898ce68 ("ASoC: SOF: append extended data to
sof_ipc_comp_process") the process components are set to run on the
fixed core 0, this break us from scheduling components on any other DSP
core.

Since we can get the DSP core index from swidget->core, it is duplicated
to pass the extra 'core' argument for those sof_widget_load_xx()
functions.

Here removes the duplicate 'core' argument and get component core from
swidget->core directly to fix the issue mentioned above.

0e4ea87870 ASoC: SOF: fix range checks
On multiple locations checks are performed of untrusted values after adding
a constant to them. This is wrong, because the addition might overflow and
the result can then pass the check, although the original value is invalid.
Fix multiple such issues by checking the actual value and not a sum of it
and a constant.

988d941882 ASoC: SOF: topology: make process type optional
As components can be now identified with a UUID based mechanism, the
process type is no longer required. For new DSP components, process and
its component type can be set to SOF_PROCESS_NONE and SOF_COMP_NONE.
Allow this combination in topology load, modify the load time check for
process type to reflect this.

8c9ff1219a ASoC: SOF: topology: fix core enable sequence
Core power up involves 2 steps: The first step tries to
power up the core by setting the ADSPCS.SPA bit for the host-managed
cores. The second step involves sending the IPC to power up other
cores that are not host managed. The enabled_cores_mask should
be updated only when both these steps are successful. If the
IPC to the DSP fails, the host-managed core that was powered in
step 1 should be powered off before returning the error.

d1c6c4a9fd ASoC: SOF: support topology components on secondary cores
Currently SOF supports running pipelines on secondary DSP cores in a
limited way. This patch represents the next step in SOF multi-core DSP
support, it adds checks for core ID to individual topology components.
It takes care to power up all the requested cores. More advanced DSP
core power management should be added in the future.

49c2269634 ASoC: SOF: Update correct LED status at the first time usage of update_mute_led()
At the first time update_mute_led() gets called, if channels are already
muted, the temp value equals to led_value as 0, skipping the following
LED setting.

So set led_value to -1 as an uninitialized state, to update the correct
LED status at first time usage.

fd04555829 ASoC: SOF: Intel: change trigger sequence to fix pop noise when stopping playback on sdw platforms
Now the trigger sequence is set to SND_SOC_DPCM_TRIGGER_POST for
SOF. This means FE will be stopped before BE, so BE will consume
invalid data and this generates huge pop noise. This sequence is
introduced for HDA DAI which requires SND_SOC_DPCM_TRIGGER_POST for
some reasons. Now set default trigger sequence to SND_SOC_DPCM_TRIGGER_PRE
for playback with all DAI and fix sequence only for HDA DAI.

Fully tested on Comet Lake for a few cycles.
