Merge branch 'i2c/for-next' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/wsa/linux
Pull i2c updates from Wolfram Sang: - new drivers: Kontron PLD, Wondermedia VT - mv64xxx driver gained sun4i support and a bigger cleanup - duplicate driver 'intel-mid' removed - added generic device tree binding for sda holding time (and designware driver already uses it) - we tried to allow driver probing with only device tree and no i2c ids, but I had to revert it because of side effects. Needs some rethinking. - driver bugfixes, cleanups... * 'i2c/for-next' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/wsa/linux: (34 commits) i2c-designware: use div_u64 to fix link i2c: Kontron PLD i2c bus driver i2c: iop3xxx: fix build failure after waitqueue changes i2c-designware: make SDA hold time configurable i2c: mv64xxx: Set bus frequency to 100kHz if clock-frequency is not provided i2c: imx: allow autoloading on dt ids i2c: mv64xxx: Fix transfer error code i2c: i801: SMBus patch for Intel Coleto Creek DeviceIDs i2c: omap: correct usage of the interrupt enable register i2c-pxa: prepare clock before use Revert "i2c: core: make it possible to match a pure device tree driver" i2c: nomadik: allocate adapter number dynamically i2c: nomadik: support elder Nomadiks i2c: mv64xxx: Add Allwinner sun4i compatible i2c: mv64xxx: make the registers offset configurable i2c: mv64xxx: Add macros to access parts of registers i2c: vt8500: Add support for I2C bus on Wondermedia SoCs i2c: designware: fix race between subsequent xfers i2c: bfin-twi: Read and write the FIFO in loop i2c: core: make it possible to match a pure device tree driver ... |

SCSI misc on 20130702
The patch set is mostly driver updates (usf, zfcp, lpfc, mpt2sas, megaraid_sas, bfa, ipr) and a few bug fixes. Also of note is that the Buslogic driver has been rewritten to a better coding style and 64 bit support added. We also removed the libsas limitation on 16 bytes for the command size (currently no drivers make use of this). Merge branch 'next' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/benh/powerpc
Pull powerpc updates from Ben Herrenschmidt: "This is the powerpc changes for the 3.11 merge window. In addition to the usual bug fixes and small updates, the main highlights are: - Support for transparent huge pages by Aneesh Kumar for 64-bit server processors. This allows the use of 16M pages as transparent huge pages on kernels compiled with a 64K base page size. - Base VFIO support for KVM on power by Alexey Kardashevskiy - Wiring up of our nvram to the pstore infrastructure, including putting compressed oopses in there by Aruna Balakrishnaiah - Move, rework and improve our "EEH" (basically PCI error handling and recovery) infrastructure. It is no longer specific to pseries but is now usable by the new "powernv" platform as well (no hypervisor) by Gavin Shan. - I fixed some bugs in our math-emu instruction decoding and made it usable to emulate some optional FP instructions on processors with hard FP that lack them (such as fsqrt on Freescale embedded processors). - Support for Power8 "Event Based Branch" facility by Michael Ellerman. This facility allows what is basically "userspace interrupts" for performance monitor events. - A bunch of Transactional Memory vs. Signals bug fixes and HW breakpoint/watchpoint fixes by Michael Neuling. And more ... I appologize in advance if I've failed to highlight something that somebody deemed worth it." * 'next' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/benh/powerpc: (156 commits) pstore: Add hsize argument in write_buf call of pstore_ftrace_call powerpc/fsl: add MPIC timer wakeup support powerpc/mpic: create mpic subsystem object powerpc/mpic: add global timer support powerpc/mpic: add irq_set_wake support powerpc/85xx: enable coreint for all the 64bit boards powerpc/8xx: Erroneous double irq_eoi() on CPM IRQ in MPC8xx powerpc/fsl: Enable CONFIG_E1000E in mpc85xx_smp_defconfig powerpc/mpic: Add get_version API both for internal and external use powerpc: Handle both new style and old style reserve maps powerpc/hw_brk: Fix off by one error when validating DAWR region end powerpc/pseries: Support compression of oops text via pstore powerpc/pseries: Re-organise the oops compression code pstore: Pass header size in the pstore write callback powerpc/powernv: Fix iommu initialization again powerpc/pseries: Inform the hypervisor we are using EBB regs powerpc/perf: Add power8 EBB support powerpc/perf: Core EBB support for 64-bit book3s powerpc/perf: Drop MMCRA from thread_struct powerpc/perf: Don't enable if we have zero events ... |

pps-gpio: add device-tree binding and support
Instead of allocating a struct pps_gpio_platform_data in the DT case, store the necessary information in struct pps_gpio_device_data itself. This avoids an additional allocation and the ifdef. It also gets rid of some indirection. Also use dev_err instead of pr_err in the changed code. spi: Updates for v3.11
A fairly quiet release for the SPI subsystem, the standout changes being: - Core support for implementing bits per word constraints implemented by Stephen Warren, factoring some code out of drivers. - Addition of polling mode support for the s3c64xx driver as some newer Exynos systems have taken the unusual step of removing interrupt support. - Use of the in-IP FIFO and generic dmaengine support for the OMAP2 driver, providing improved performance. - Conversion of the mpc512x driver to use the core message queue infrastructure. The nicest thing being that all the factoring out into common code leads to a negative diffstat overall. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (GNU/Linux) iQIcBAABAgAGBQJR0U1DAAoJELSic+t+oim9sX4P/08KgncJt5ELjAmMosmBProl anfDekjNTmtSVkPX/RKahszGWhKy77xlFE+gSjkxtdlZoKYbtQpTpgIyN5HbpfSO OWAZZFX+rC7F64qw081cXWrjtT1LtOY8KpbPtJQa/uHQzpEYkhpMcwtp/e3QBnHp lrRzIjViDMqhOvPxMNEI3orQ3fmB8K+hlnCYkakGZ4osXdVkitHfW16xEHyRNFxi s4SD2wVhAAg5z1H09rHRVcvYFJop0bRLMATXItYgsGXGpIjSQpZ+Px+pfD0Gxtzq Xy16hmX5s4hmpMflOEXIxGSUURHF/5/qcBNawz12PL3Godie+D0iZvYGx6tJlj06 W8PsVqDa+oKitC+q4OQQbfFgOltP73MR2LwvvNRFiwzccahhAFyoZXzy8Duuewsm I+A1k1vyGdmqmVGzwsP8ly2ad+eQftdhBKUj4XcOpPzcOQU2nG6+YZHb3OLKpKlt pCAFvckbJWMhfRN14B/9loXd1lHwVt3yvX0Q8fWM3FnyguON6rhTNsDWwjcqOo6S fyI//C0ENMwTzvZuOTOkc32XiNYIgZ1ksmICeCaxsfEXrTRMLvyPhfil4d6yUTrb TCpgQIsfuBTJXkJTf6Ggj9G9xmi3yx6XCh7sU8/55VmPGwreCbxwfHfnDOauZuoK jRIg2Bjm/Ckf4hJZ6jPs =/2eV -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'spi-v3.11' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/broonie/spi Pull spi updates from Mark Brown: "A fairly quiet release for the SPI subsystem, the standout changes being: - Core support for implementing bits per word constraints implemented by Stephen Warren, factoring some code out of drivers. Pin control changes for the v3.11 kernel cycle:
- A large slew of improvements of the Genric pin configuration support, and deployment in four different platforms: Rockchip, Super-H PFC, ABx500 and TZ1090. Support BIAS_BUS_HOLD, get device tree parsing and debugfs support into shape. - We also have device tree support with generic naming conventions for the generic pin configuration. - Delete the unused and confusing direct pinconf API. Now state transitions is *the* way to control pins and multiplexing. - New drivers for Rockchip, TZ1090, and TZ1090 PDC. - Two pin control states related to power management are now handled in the device core: "sleep" and "idle", removing a lot of boilerplate code in drivers. We do not yet know if this is the final word for pin PM, but it already make things a lot easier to handle. - Handle sparse GPIO ranges passing a list of disparate pins, and utilize these in the new BayTrail (x86 Atom SoC) driver. - Make the sunxi (AllWinner) driver handle external interrupts. - Make it possible for pinctrl-single to handle the case where several pins are managed by a single register, and augment it to handle sleep modes. - Cleanups and improvements for the abx500 drivers. - Move Sirf pin control drivers to their own directory, support save/restore of context and add support for the SiRFatlas6 SoC. - PMU muxing for the Dove pinctrl driver. - Finalization and support for VF610 in the i.MX6 pinctrl driver. - Smoothen out various Exynos rough edges. - Generic cleanups of various kinds. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) iQIcBAABAgAGBQJR0Z07AAoJEEEQszewGV1zx+oP/j+bh39e1Fc8ySFNvpwLFFRb EbQZx21XsK+d4fUVYQJ1IBh3e5FTqkmvHarbO1aNttqyk7eN5P4EFb3dLExIX+81 6SJYtldH5ZdvLpJNvSXAX6fUjTD1CtBCDs5z5AvDQjqUArQ2tKlzJJgFXW8MSd3B 5hd7XdU5g30GbVzFwrPbVUZwRM12YVs/HACkP6uFqDjB8KX6nXpETlqeeFW+ApvW RPT7iN/CsFls7gl6mHsPvScdfXar0ilZfu0hTf3EmhlVK1/iPOV6aqAF9z4j2Yxf ICL/x3phJ0Q7yNeZslif0KN3iJnrRGbdNvBi6wim35Ds5Uf3lY2SAhSvxNmkjT8n DB9oBTvQzr5OEv8fstWJAT+BWIdZ6Z91IqJ5Gy40A91oVUU9NDDBR3ur2gIneEUz 51kOUhucCzpiht5A/7djAx6MYYOEUwjGNzjOs7tGcxCxz4+Rb2DbAXZ3Cew45ddh 1QsfL3588A0DTp7ccw7f4QwYveX/cquzia/MD8AtdrUSYFEPfkexEo540/VqMl8j aMJ8Uuca9GSnyXDk+ziwkzLg2DjTw+p+6IygNr2GLrXFH2LTAKRpz/SidyLArDsw 0sTFan0sdU3497rHX5Xc8yCyDY4sXCdQm3/er+TE+Z7V2dS99GuEysCAInIdvM1I Wupqaxw4A25YSmbRFVpR =EbAf -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'pinctrl-for-v3.11-1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/linusw/linux-pinctrl Pull pin control changes from Linus Walleij: - A large slew of improvements of the Genric pin configuration support, and deployment in four different platforms: Rockchip, Super-H PFC, ABx500 and TZ1090. regmap: Updates for v3.11
A small but useful set of regmap updates this time around: - An abstraction for bitfields within a register map contributed by Srinivas Kandagatla, allowing drivers to cope more easily when hardware designers randomly move things about (mainly when talking to things like system controllers). - Changes from Lars-Peter Clausen to allow the MMIO regmap to be used from hard IRQ context. - Small improvements to the cache infrastructure and performance, including a default cache sync operation so now all regmaps can sync easily. There's also a pinctrl driver making use of the new bitfield API, merged here for dependency reasons. There will be a simple add/add conflict with the pinctrl tree as a result. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (GNU/Linux) iQIcBAABAgAGBQJR0BkmAAoJELSic+t+oim94wgP/A+a0uJNxkQ3VK2myUU42VzA LkiSgmpV/IsywyMJjV+/WgSPXv5BALjWdoHqaPGxEzbVTrQdxTVWhrlPsFAu7rLo dQXoAXckvyhaw+GlJNpUkpIrNV3qxZN9eT8/Lm16pehXzllZif7CynJk6F5NQgMw 32HKuNFJxig+NMDzbeID1aSTg5yCsU+TCB40J7naYDAGIBXwNsXwGmVwoTJi6513 xWEJ8KvQ5F2C5PCUass+9Cozil/H95V1Vvei5qyo7aVG1Z2SF4ueC8sRZgULvTr/ wpPt/ia8TnjQcjYvnFVWyiiCGDmmYB+CQHxtIjsLVYoaBb2FsLEVfscYD+84+EAz mQqEKxLIPfYvzZmU8zxcdXzDkD+Ztm0T8HJWrKwIWfBiKgrSk6R2kegFOrCrqmLX cVHW3RXVZM3oW8G9T5FGR5fzh9acnAvvTKstSPnpMXTRLKozPG6G61+FtjDQNvxI 0IGgNnkZCxGFmVLAxzX/Z4WmuwARO+dSbY2t92qlOhfRLVJ8VR5WVu+ECDYDSBUD U0EhXfmu2UJdClY2T+lw3TRo3F7hKHx5+C6cS6pNZC43lKtGWu8qClFmdJ+Y2Pzp 4yRUvKXjfnyuRNSYaIRcjxJQ7dPVfxsUz3w9cak4V/Gi2u/1cbbTjS+Wob1+jdEu 9ldwQ9d3gMMVWR5yb/Z4 =8WLH -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'regmap-v3.11' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/broonie/regmap Pull regmap updates from Mark Brown: "A small but useful set of regmap updates this time around: - An abstraction for bitfields within a register map contributed by Srinivas Kandagatla, allowing drivers to cope more easily when hardware designers randomly move things about (mainly when talking to things like system controllers). - Changes from Lars-Peter Clausen to allow the MMIO regmap to be used from hard IRQ context. - Small improvements to the cache infrastructure and performance, including a default cache sync operation so now all regmaps can sync easily. Merge branch 'for-linus' of git://git.linaro.org/people/rmk/linux-arm
Pull ARM updates from Russell King: "This contains the usual updates from other people (listed below) and the usual random muddle of miscellaneous ARM updates which cover some low priority bug fixes and performance improvements. I've started to put the pull request wording into the merge commits, which are: - NoMMU stuff: This includes the following series sent earlier to the list: - nommu-fixes - R7 Support - MPU support I've left out the ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM/!MMU stuff that Arnd and I were discussing today until we've reached a conclusion/that's had some more review. This is rebased (and re-tested) on your devel-stable branch because otherwise there were going to be conflicts with Uwe's V7M work now that you've merged that. I've included the fix for limiting MPU to CPU_V7. - Huge page support These changes bring both HugeTLB support and Transparent HugePage (THP) support to ARM. Only long descriptors (LPAE) are supported in this series. The code has been tested on an Arndale board (Exynos 5250). - LPAE updates Please pull these miscellaneous LPAE fixes I've been collecting for a while now for 3.11. They've been tested and reviewed by quite a few people, and most of the patches are pretty trivial. -- Will Deacon. - arch_timer cleanups Please pull these arch_timer cleanups I've been holding onto for a while. They're the same as my last posting, but have been rebased to v3.10-rc3. - mpidr linearisation (multiprocessor id register - identifies which CPU number we are in the system) This patch series that implements MPIDR linearization through a simple hashing algorithm and updates current cpu_{suspend}/{resume} code to use the newly created hash structures to retrieve context pointers. It represents a stepping stone for the implementation of power management code on forthcoming multi-cluster ARM systems. ARM SoC late changes
These are changes that arrived a little late before the merge window or that have multiple dependencies on previous branches so they did not fit into one of the earlier ones. ARM SoC driver specific changes
These changes are all driver specific and cross over between arm-soc contents and some other subsystem, in these cases cpufreq, crypto, dma, pinctrl, mailbox and usb, and the subsystem owners agreed to have these changes merged through arm-soc. As we proceed to untangle the dependencies between platform code and driver code, the amount of changes in this category is fortunately shrinking, for 3.11 we have 16 branches here and 101 non-merge changesets, the majority of which are for the stedma40 dma engine driver used in the ux500 platform. Cleaning up that code touches multiple subsystems, but gets rid of the dependency in the end. The mailbox code moved out from mach-omap2 to drivers/mailbox is an intermediate step and is still omap specific at the moment. Patches exist to generalize the subsystem and add other drivers with the same API, but those did not make it for 3.11. Conflicts: * In cpu-db8500.c results from the removal of the u8500_of_init_devices function in combination with the split of u8500_auxdata_lookup. * In arch/arm/mach-omap2/devices.c, the includes got reshuffled. we need to keep linux/wl12xx.h and linux/platform_data/mailbox-omap.h. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (GNU/Linux) iQIVAwUAUdLnomCrR//JCVInAQJI/A/9FydsQa9sdnzLFgcdX5BeRRwkXLfDifCM zDTfUBo+LriKOs7QHblmDg1MnY1UMB2IfrdHD0FsjK7WbZ/91EMAGDPYcI7Fu4+u pGStxwWi2v+oCT1jjeOkCPT7hdCqogsSpybYq8itSb+zdvdOi6U35dWEKz8xGqz4 vTL9gTZbJP0kowkjIcaryk7FIj7BTIvMCW8n55JZEkDe0BuSJGYn5c3Mntut12ZK 5xM2PeNe2sd3dIdA6XbM2ye/XmYa8xY8Qu4/ijxfH1gnJLvz9Unp96nRXpEbIeMb BH2Sro8dxsMCaweIQhSRKGnUWMYO/Rh7/+5EqzJ163Ezthx9nvHXJY2ndWuD7uM1 IcGrMxLtqP22TEMtZAVEATDp/5ymxEo5GM+eayUojQDn213wOJjRs5xz5IBsH4KM 8CM/gpadWmLjWku72yEV4lryLcdS0NVQzpTnEbILEGOU4u7qJtxRAp7x7tWBtFg8 4m/eWcSVk/U2SYbXmQHsfukuWgKY0cnZbctPcdnaqXwTP7toJEAK3gxoMtWh49Jq 2M2PVFyFejaaq5b/71wAJ7ePYw56H0N/F3RsGpPE55AY15++gSoQ+3t2Si68hDw8 NtyJMkQYpTvtqJbHXWpQQ3Zfs7pDBe01WDV7i+m4JTNggxUDaO/t1Fqp+fEksm4J r+luEf5Gcgk= =mJsI -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'drivers-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM SoC driver specific changes from Arnd Bergmann: "These changes are all driver specific and cross over between arm-soc contents and some other subsystem, in these cases cpufreq, crypto, dma, pinctrl, mailbox and usb, and the subsystem owners agreed to have these changes merged through arm-soc. ARM SoC device tree changes
These changes from 30 individual branches for the most part update device tree files, but there are also a few source code changes that have crept in this time, usually in order to atomically move over a driver from using hardcoded data to DT probing. A number of platforms change their DT files to use the C preprocessor, which is causing a bit of churn, but that is hopefully only this once. There are a few conflicts with the other branches unfortunately: * in exynos5440.dtsi and kirkwood-6281.dtsi, device nodes are added from multiple branches. Need to be careful to have the right set of closing braces as git gets this one wrong. * In kirkwood.dtsi, one 'ranges' line got split into two lines, while another line got added. Order of the lines does not matter. * in sama5d3.dtsi, some cleanup was merged the wrong way, causing a bogus conflict. We want the 'dmas' and 'dma-names' properties to get added here. * Two lines got removed independently in arch/arm/mach-mxs/mach-mxs.c * Contents get added independently in arch/arm/mach-omap2/cclock33xx_data.c -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (GNU/Linux) iQIVAwUAUdLnpGCrR//JCVInAQI50RAAsXbH1SGvjKJemXhRkFloPDYpCbgdDUFr ChUbjNV1xsY/jaNCfMa5/Qo7lgz/Ot7BpJef9fZn7ret+dc7nchqe/4iIkAokAUh E4ao9D1dP5aAA0ihdbSQHCZtR/0SUR81h6BoOVuo/1mvEiBaFbWAeYe8/6LJd9II OU1w9bDmjfZWYFUXs+j2VF76ueZQ+kz69XDKZUGtkqN76m1AL8lGDurj5jxvyllF VJns8d9q2nr2q9PferfajK6rkOIPaTpwKblxZHUgobCyOitZaiZM0NgF733TsNM6 HXmhDhkcn7T81+SiHVfigJ/nxo9UgU4zNJCODF3WZIwGIj3FbxvCOpdCYi2NhCO8 oLcgDk57tpoKpB3gvAmYVQHP9FIepFa/WAWyPIADA7PkpYrwgc4v+cLEHXpd8SRv viLLIa5QuNdMeaK+Md9OKmKZFd7uFD9jiMtmdm6IpEVDDjMgoteb2XSoEtNebmtY MfbW4okn118a2dFKKaPTKcXVW/a5FRp2JGfB0A58RQHaJWj3JsY1bFn/xWPEpTOA IWB/HHMln0LYTL2AXN9HcaL1jnGI1Wq5eWBurX+cXQ/ij1A6jfoRKYglx7AQqOHj iWcGYtKLLJCgiWFnLSwcljZhfoYr0/z7rhns6yo7/vhN0riy+M84OgN4HbAmUzc1 Bgy9PnJTNo8= =8PtJ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'dt-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM SoC device tree changes from Arnd Bergmann: "These changes from 30 individual branches for the most part update device tree files, but there are also a few source code changes that have crept in this time, usually in order to atomically move over a driver from using hardcoded data to DT probing. ARM SoC specific changes
These changes are all to SoC-specific code, a total of 33 branches on 17 platforms were pulled into this. Like last time, Renesas sh-mobile is now the platform with the most changes, followed by OMAP and EXYNOS. Two new platforms, TI Keystone and Rockchips RK3xxx are added in this branch, both containing almost no platform specific code at all, since they are using generic subsystem interfaces for clocks, pinctrl, interrupts etc. The device drivers are getting merged through the respective subsystem maintainer trees. One more SoC (u300) is now multiplatform capable and several others (shmobile, exynos, msm, integrator, kirkwood, clps711x) are moving towards that goal with this series but need more work. Also noteworthy is the work on PCI here, which is traditionally part of the SoC specific code. With the changes done by Thomas Petazzoni, we can now more easily have PCI host controller drivers as loadable modules and keep them separate from the platform code in drivers/pci/host. This has already led to the discovery that three platforms (exynos, spear and imx) are actually using an identical PCIe host controller and will be able to share a driver once support for spear and imx is added. ARM SoC cleanups
This contains cleanups as preparation for other branches adding new features, we pulled 16 branches for 9 platforms into this one. Most notable here is the removal of support for ATAGS based OMAP4 systems. Since all OMAP4 machines are fully functional with DT based booting in 3.10, we can remove a lot of code here. TTY/Serial merge for 3.11-rc1
Here is the big TTY / Serial driver merge for 3.11-rc1. Add support for GMT G762/G763 PWM fan controllers
GMT G762/763 fan speed PWM controller is connected directly to a fan and performs closed-loop or open-loop control of the fan speed. Two modes - PWM or DC - are supported by the chip. Introduced driver provides various knobs to control the operations of the chip (via sysfs interface). Specific characteristics of the system can be passed either using board init code or via DT. Documentation for both the driver and DT bindings are also provided. pinctrl: st: Add pinctrl and pinconf support.
This patch add pinctrl support to ST SoCs. About hardware: ST Set-Top-Box parts have two blocks called PIO and PIO-mux which handle pin configurations. Each multi-function pin is controlled, driven and routed through the PIO multiplexing block. Each pin supports GPIO functionality (ALT0) and multiple alternate functions(ALT1 - ALTx) that directly connect the pin to different hardware blocks. When a pin is in GPIO mode, Output Enable (OE), Open Drain(OD), and Pull Up (PU) are driven by the related PIO block. Otherwise the PIO multiplexing block configures these parameters and retiming the signal. About driver: This pinctrl driver manages both PIO and PIO-mux block using pinctrl, pinconf, pinmux, gpio subsystems. All the pinctrl related config information can only come from device trees. pinctrl: set unit for debounce time pinconfig to usec
Currently the debounce time pinconfig option uses an unspecified "time units" unit. As pinconfig options should use SI units and a real unit is also necessary for generic dt bindings, change it to usec. Currently no driver is using the generic pinconfig option for this, so the unit change is safe to do.
