Modify Kconfig rules for machine drivers used by SOF to pick
SND_HDA_CODEC_HDMI by default if other conditions are met. For

When the Teclast X89 quirk was added we did not have jack-detection
support yet.
Note the over-current detection limit is set to 2mA instead of the usual
1.5mA because this tablet tends to give false-positive button-presses
when it is set to 1.5mA.

When the Acer Switch 10 SW5-012 quirk was added we did not have
jack-detection support yet; and the builtin microphone selection of
the original quirk is wrong too.
Fix the microphone-input quirk and add jack-detection info so that the
internal-microphone and headphone/set jack on the Switch 10 work properly.

On KBL platform, the microphone is attached to external codec(rt5514)
instead of PCH. However, TDM slot between PCH and codec is 16 bits only.
In order to avoid setting wrong format, we should add a constraint to
force to use 16 bits format forever.

When snd-hda-codec-hdmi is used, the PCM device numbers are
parsed from card topology and passed to the codec driver.
This needs to be done at runtime as topology changes may
affect PCM device allocation.

The first DMIC capture always fail (zero sequence data from PCM port)
after using DSP hotwording function (i.e. Google assistant).
This rt5514 codec requires to control mclk directly in the set_bias_level
function. Implement this function in machine driver to control the
ssp1_mclk clock explicitly could fix this issue.

As of commit 648e921888 ("clk: x86: Stop marking clocks as
CLK_IS_CRITICAL"), the cht_bsw_rt5645 driver needs to enable the clock
it's using for the codec's mclk. It does this from commit 7735bce05a
("ASoC: Intel: boards: use devm_clk_get() unconditionally"), enabling
pmc_plt_clk_3. However, Strago family Chromebooks use pmc_plt_clk_0 for
the codec mclk, resulting in white noise with some digital microphones.
Add a DMI-based quirk for Strago family Chromebooks to use pmc_plt_clk_0
instead - mirroring the changes made to cht_bsw_max98090_ti in
commit a182ecd380 ("ASoC: intel: cht_bsw_max98090_ti: Add quirk for
boards using pmc_plt_clk_0") and making use of the existing
dmi_check_system() call and related infrastructure added in
commit 22af29114e ("ASoC: Intel: cht-bsw-rt5645: add quirks for
SSP0/AIF1/AIF2 routing").

This patch call snd_jack_add_new_kctl() to create the HDMI jack kctls.
Userspace needs these kctls to detect the hdmi monitor hotplug.
In /usr/share/alsa/ucm, the config file needs to assign a jack kctl to
"JackControl" to let PA get the jack hotplug status.

The API, which belongs to GPIO library, is foreign to ACPI headers. Earlier
we moved out I²C out of the latter, and now it's time for
acpi_dev_add_driver_gpios() et al.
For time being the acpi_gpio_get_irq_resource() and acpi_dev_gpio_irq_get()
are left untouched as they need more thought about.
Note, it requires uninline acpi_dev_remove_driver_gpios() to keep purity of
consumer.h.

We have duplicated code in multiple locations (atom, machine drivers,
SOF) to detect Baytrail, Cherrytrail and other SOCs. This is not very
elegant, and introduces dependencies on CONFIG_X86 that prevent
COMPILE_TEST from working.
Add common helpers to provide same functionality in a cleaner
way. This will also help support the DMI-based quirks being introduced
to handle SOF/SST autodetection.

The sof-rt5682 machine driver supports both legacy Baytrail devices
and more recent ApolloLake/CometLake platforms. When only Baytrail is
selected, the compilation fails with the following errors:

Fix by selecting SND_SOC_HDAC_HDMI unconditionally. The code for HDMI
support is not reachable on Baytrail so this change has no functional
impact.

This is an implementation of a machine driver needed for Conexant
CX2072X codec on Intel Baytrail and Cherrytrail platforms. The
current patch is based on the initial work by Pierre-Louis Bossart and
the other Intel machine drivers.
The jack detection support (driven via the standard GPIO) was added on
top of the original work.
Tested with ASUS E200HA laptop.

amplifier feedback is not modeled as being dependent on any active
output. Even when there is no playback happening, parts of the graph,
specifically the IV sense->speaker protection->output remains active
and this prevents the DSP from entering low-power states.
This patch suggest a machine driver level approach where the speaker
pins are enabled/disabled dynamically depending on stream start/stop
events. DPAM graph representations show the feedback loop is indeed
disabled and low-power states can be reached.

This key pair mapping to play/pause when playing Youtube
The Android 3.5mm Headset jack specification mentions that BTN_0 should
be mapped to KEY_MEDIA, but this is less logical than KEY_PLAYPAUSE,
which has much broader userspace support.
For example, the Chrome OS userspace now supports KEY_PLAYPAUSE to toggle
play/pause of videos and audio, but does not handle KEY_MEDIA.
Furthermore, Android itself now supports KEY_PLAYPAUSE equivalently, as the
new USB headset spec requires KEY_PLAYPAUSE for BTN_0.

The machine driver is a generic machine driver for SOF with rt5682
codec. it currently supports BYT/CHT/ICL/CML. Depending on the SOC
hdmi/speaker and DMIC support are added dynamically.
Only add information related to SOF since the machine driver was
only tested with SOF.

Add dmic dai links using naming conventions used in
previous machine drivers.
Tested on whiskylake & icelake with SOF driver. Due
to a missing topology file, the DMIC functionality
could not be tested with the Skylake driver but was
tested for non-regressions on a GeminiLake platform
without DMICs.

The Intel boards have very strict dependencies which make them less
available for compile test than is desirable, with requirements for
specific drivers that are only needed at runtime but not at build time.
Relax this a bit if COMPILE_TEST is enabled to improve build coverage
for these drivers.

kbl_da7219_max98927 supports two configurations - One with da7219 &
max98927/373 and other one with max98927/373 alone. This patch
removes the headset dais from max98927/373 configuration. Since the
snd_soc_dapm_ignore_suspend for DMIC is called from da7219_codec_init,
the code is re-arranged to invoke snd_soc_dapm_ignore_suspend from
kabylake_dmic_init.

Users have been seeing sound stability issues with max98090 codecs since:
commit 648e921888 ("clk: x86: Stop marking clocks as CLK_IS_CRITICAL")
At first that commit broke sound for Chromebook Swanky and Clapper models,
the problem was that the machine-driver has been controlling the wrong
clock on those models since support for them was added. This was hidden by
clk-pmc-atom.c keeping the actual clk on unconditionally.
With the machine-driver controlling the proper clock, sound works again
but we are seeing bug reports describing it as: low volume,
"sounds like played at 10x speed" and instable.
When these issues are hit the following message is seen in dmesg:
"max98090 i2c-193C9890:00: PLL unlocked".
Attempts have been made to fix this by inserting a delay between enabling
the clk and enabling and checking the pll, but this has not helped.
It seems that at least on boards which use pmc_plt_clk_0 as clock,
if we ever disable the clk, the pll looses its lock and after that we get
various issues.
This commit fixes this by enabling the clock once at probe time on
these boards. In essence this restores the old behavior of clk-pmc-atom.c
always keeping the clk on on these boards.

This patch enables the reuse of kbl_da7219_max98927 machine driver to
support max98373. The same machine driver is modified for cases where one
amplifier is swapped out with another. Most of the changes are about
renaming the codec and codec_dai names, with minor differences due to
support for 24 bits in one case and 16 in the other.

This patch enables support for GeminiLake with the DA7219 codec and
MAX98357A amplifier. To avoid duplicating code, the existing machine
driver for ApolloLake is reused with only changes in hardware
connectivity (SSP2 for DA7219 and SSP1 for MAX98357A).
The dailinks are directly modified in this patch. Using a helper would
be nicer, but it'll be done in a follow-up step with validation done
across multiple machine drivers.

For some reason we test if the machine is passed as a parameter before
fixing up the codec name. This is unnecessary, generates false
positives in static analysis tools and done only in this machine
driver, remove and adjust indentation.

Add a DMI quirk for the Point of View TAB-P1006W-232 (v1.0) tablet, this
tablet is special in a number of ways:
1) It uses the 2nd GPIO resource in the ACPI tables for jack-detect rather
then using the rt5651 codec's builtin jack-detect functionality
2) It uses the 3th GPIO resource in the ACPI tables to control the
external amplifier rather then the usual first non GpioInt resource and
the GPIO is active-low.
3) It is a BYTCR device, without a CHAN package and it uses SSP0-AIF1
rather then the default SSP0-AIF2.
4) Its internal mic is a digital mic (the first x86 rt5651 device that
I'm aware of which does this), combined with having its headset-mic
connected to IN2.

Commit 37c7401e8c ("ASoC: Intel: bytcr_rt5651: Fix DMIC map
headsetmic mapping"), changed the headsetmic mapping from IN3P to IN2P,
this was based on the observation that all bytcr_rt5651 devices I have
access to (7 devices) where all using IN3P for the headsetmic. This was
an attempt to unifify / simplify the mapping, but it was wrong.
None of those devices was actually using a digital internal mic. Now I've
access to a Point of View TAB-P1006W-232 (v1.0) tabler, which does use a
DMIC and it does have its headsetmic connected to IN2P, showing that the
original mapping was correct, so this commit reverts the change changing
the mapping back to IN2P.

Add quirks to select the correct input map, jack-detect options
and channel map to make sound work on the ASUS MeMO Pad 7 (ME176C).
Note: Although sound works out of the box, jack detection currently
requires overriding the ACPI DSDT table. This is necessary because
the rt5640 ACPI device (10EC5640) has the wrong GPIO listed as
interrupt (one of the Bluetooth GPIOs).
The correct GPIO is GPO2 0x0004 (listed as the first GPIO in the
Intel(R) Audio Machine Driver - AMCR0F28 device).

Depending on the input-map and on if 1 or 2 speakers are connected,
userspace needs to use a different UCM profile.
Since we already deal with quirks in the kernel driver and set the
input-map from the kernel, add a quirk for devices with a single / mono
speaker and set the card's long_name based on the input and speaker
quirks, so that userspace can use the long_name to pick the right UCM
profile.
This change, including how the long_name is build-up mirrors how we do
this in the bytcr_rt5640 and bytcr_rt5651 machine drivers.
Note since all devices I have access to use a mono speaker setup I've
chosen to default the speaker setting to mono.

After adding jack-detect support we have 3 microphone input switches:
"Microphone 1", "Microphone 2" and "Headset Mic". But the ES8316 has only
2 microphone inputs.
In the app-note explaining how to use the codec and on the 3 boards I
have one input is used for an internal microphone and one for the headset
microphone. On the 2 CHT boards I have the internal mic is on on MIC1 and
the headset mic is on MIC2, on the BYTCR board I have it is the other way
around.
This commit replaces the 2 "Microphone 1" and "Microphone 2" input switches
with a single "Internal Mic" switch and adds support for selecting either
possible input mapping.

The ES8316 only has a single (amplified) output. The ES8316 appnote showing
the intended usage uses a jack-receptacle which physically disconnects the
speakers from the output when a jack is plugged in.
But all 3 devices using the es8316 which I have (2 Cherry Trail devices and
one Bay Trail CR device), use an analog mux to disconnect the speakers,
driven by a GPIO.
This commit adds support for this, modelling this as a separate speaker
widget / dapm pin-switch which sets the mux to drive the speakers when
selected.
The intend is for userspace to use the recently added jack-detect support
and then automatically select either the Headphone or Speaker output based
on that.
Note this commit includes a workaround for an ACPI table bug which is
present on 2 of the 3 devices I have, see the added comment in the code.

Add support for having the codec connected to SSP0 instead of SSP2. This
is controlled through a new quirk parameter, similar to how this is done
in the bytcr_rt5640 and bytcr_rt5651 machine drivers.
Bay Trail CR (cost reduced) SoCs do not have an SSP2, so we default to SSP0
there.
Note the SPP0 quirk gets BIT(16) because bits 0-15 are reserved for non
boolean quirks like the input-map added in a later commit in this series.

For some reason this field was set to zero when all other drivers use
.dynamic = 1 for front-ends. This change was tested on Dell XPS13 and
has no impact with the existing legacy driver. The SOF driver also works
with this change which enables it to override the fixed topology.

The current SKYLAKE kconfig is a all-you-can-eat selection that will
support all known plaforms. This is however not necessarily a good
thing: most platforms for SKL and KBL don't support the DSP, but a
number of CNL/WHL ones do. Selecting this driver in all cases isn't
really smart and will require users to muck with blacklists.
Partition the configs to allow distributions to select on which
platform this driver is used. Keep the existing SND_SOC_INTEL_SKYLAKE
config to select everything for backwards compatibility. This patch does
not provide new functionality, only finer-grained choices in supported
platforms.

The new Dell IoT platform uses kabylake + alc3277 codec, and alc3277
shares the driver with the codec rt5660, here we generate a new
machine driver based on kbl_da7219_max98357a.
The audio design on this IoT platform is as below:
- Intel kabylake platform
- connect the codec ALC3277 via SSP0
- line-out and line-in with Micbias jacks
- line-out mute control and jack detection of line-out and line-in
- two HDMI ports with audio capability

The Gnawty model Chromebook uses pmc_plt_clk_0 instead of pmc_plt_clk_3
for the mclk, just like the Clapper and Swanky models.
This commit adds a DMI based quirk for this.
This fixing audio no longer working on these devices after
commit 648e921888 ("clk: x86: Stop marking clocks as CLK_IS_CRITICAL")
that commit fixes us unnecessary keeping unused clocks on, but in case of

The Clapper model Chromebook uses pmc_plt_clk_0 instead of pmc_plt_clk_3
for the mclk, just like the Swanky model.
This commit adds a DMI based quirk for this.
This fixing audio no longer working on these devices after

that commit fixes us unnecessary keeping unused clocks on, but in case of
the Clapper that was breaking audio support since we were not using the

The changes for HDaudio overlooked the fact that the machine drivers
used for Chromebooks rely on the dmic number information passed as
pdata.
Add dmic_num field to standard interface and use standard interface
instead of SKL-specific one.
Also clean-up pdata definition to remove fields that are no longer
used.

The Skylake driver currently has a set of problems supporting
load/unload modules. We need to make the HDaudio codec support
optional to help narrow down the issues.
Support for HDaudio codecs also leads to a Kconfig issue. We want the
hdac_hda codec to be compilable independently of Skylake (e.g. with
ALL_CODECS) but when Skylake is selected as built-in the hdac_hda
codec needs to use the same option due a a code dependency
Solve both problems by adding a user-selectable boolean Kconfig,
select HDAC_HDA as needed and make the HDaudio codec support in the
Skylake driver optional. Tests on a Chell Chromebook device without
HDaudio show no regression for speaker and HDMI playback.
This is submitted as an RFC to allow for comments and more validation.

Add machine driver for Intel platforms (SKL/KBL/BXT/APL) with
HDA and iDisp codecs. This patch adds support for only iDisp (HDMI/DP)
codec. In the following patches support for HDA codecs will be added.
This should work for other Intel platforms as well e.g. GLK,CNL
however this series is not tested on all the platforms.

As sparse warns, the PCM format type can't be dealt as integer as
found in Intel SST driver codes.
Fix them in the following two ways:
- The open code with snd_mask_set() and params->masks reference is
replaced with params_set_format()
- The rest codes with snd_mask_set(fmt, SNDRV_PCM_FORMAT_XXX) are
replaced with the new helper, snd_mask_set_format().

During my initial round of bytcr_rt5651 long-name patches I did not include
a difference for mono vs stereo speaker setups in the longname because it
seems that all 5651 devices with only a single speaker do some mixing of
left + right on the PCB.
However further testing has shown that while this works great when only
playing audio on the left or right channel, the output becomes garbled
when using both channels at once. Something which does not happen when
using the Stereo DAC MIXL / MIXR switches to mix the channels together
inside the codec and then only outputting on a single channel.
So we need to have separate UCM profiles and thus separate long-names
for devices with a mono speaker vs stereo speakers. Just as we already
have for the bytcr_rt5640 case.
This commit adds a new BYT_RT5651_MONO_SPEAKER quirk and adds "stereo-spk"
or "mono-spk" to the long-name based on this and enables this mapping on
devices with a mono speaker.
Changing the long-name like this is ok for now, since I'm still working
on the UCM profiles, so they are not in upstream alsa-lib yet.
This brings the long-name naming scheme fully in sync with the bytcr_rt5640
case, which is good from a consistency pov.

During the recent cleanup series 3 of the 6 input mappings where removed
from the bytcr_rt5651 machine driver because testing showed that none of
them were used.
However some devices do actually have their internal mic on IN2 (and
only IN2, not IN1 and IN2), this did not show during previous tests
due to a bug in the userspace UCM input device switching code.
This commit re-adds the IN2 mapping for devices with the internal mic.
on IN2 and the headser mic on IN3 and enables this mapping on devices
with their internal mic on IN2.
This commit also changes the default internal mic input to IN2, because
all my 7 test devices have their mic there.

With the default over current detect limit of 1500uA headsets on often
get detected as headphones on the VIOS LTH17 and even when detected as
headset the OVCD current triggers often while plugged in, resulting in
false-positive button press detection.

Some boards have I2cSerialBusV2, GpioIo, GpioInt as ACPI resources, other
boards may have I2cSerialBusV2, GpioInt, GpioIo instead. We want the
GpioIo one for the ext-amp-enable-gpio.
So far we've been assuming that the GpioIo one always comes first, this
commit adds code to detect which one comes first and to add the right
gpio-mapping.
This fixes sound not working on the Vios LTH17 laptop.

The rt5651 does not have a built-in speaker amplifier, so it is often
used together with an external amplifier. On Cherry Trail boards this
external amplifier's enable pin is driven through a GPIO, which is
given as the first GPIO in the ACPI resources of the codec fwnode.
This commit adds support to the bytcr_rt5651 for this GPIO, fixing
the speaker not working on CHT devices with a rt5651 codec.

One some models (Chuwi Vi8 Plus, Chuwi Hi8 Pro) the headphone output has
left and right swapped. This can be fixed in with special mixer settings
in the UCM profile, bit this requires these devices loading a different
UCM profile.
This commit adds a BYT_RT5651_HP_LR_SWAPPED quirk for this and postfixes
the longname with "-hp-swapped" if set, so that a different UCM profile
will be loaded.
We can safely do this without causing regressions (UCM profile not found
due to the longname change) as the UCM profiles are not in upstream
alsa-lib yet.

Now that the headset-mic is always IN3 there is no reason to have
the headset-mic mapping in the long-name.
This commit simplifies the long name to "bytcr-rt5651-<intmic-map>-mic".
We can safely do this without causing regressions (UCM profile not found

The initial bytcr_rt5651 machine driver commit mapped IN2 as the headset
mic. In retrospect this is not correct as all known boards have the headset
mic on IN3.
This commit fixes the original DMIC mapping to correctly have the headset
mic on IN3.

The initial bytcr_rt5651 machine driver commit mapped IN2 as the headset
mic. In retrospect this is not correct as all known boards have the headset
mic on IN3. To workaround this special IN?_HS_IN3 mappings were added.
This commit fixes the original IN1 mapping to correctly have the headset
mic on IN3, moves all users of the IN1_HS_IN3 mapping over to the fixed
IN1_MAP and drops the now no longer needed IN1_HS_IN3 mapping.

BYT_RT5651_IN2_MAP was introduced in commit 39712db878 ("SoC: intel: byt:
Introduce new custom IN2 map"), uses in commit 2fe30129b0 ("ASoC: intel:
byt: Enable IN2 map quirk for a KIANO laptop"), only to be replaced by a
new BYT_RT5651_IN1_IN2_MAP quirk in commit ea261bd02a ("ASoC: intel:
byt: Introduce new map for dual mics") quickly afterwards, because the
KIANO laptop has 2 internal mics on IN1 and IN2 and the headset mic is
not in IN1 where the BYT_RT5651_IN2_MAP maps it, but on IN3.
Now that the KIANO quirk entry uses BYT_RT5651_IN1_IN2_MAP, there are no
users of BYT_RT5651_IN2_MAP left. This makes sense since the headset mic
seems to always be connected to IN3, so BYT_RT5651_IN2_MAP is not useful.
To deal with BYT_RT5651_IN2_MAP wrongly mapping the headset mic to IN1,
BYT_RT5651_IN2_HS_IN3_MAP was added in commit f026e06317 ("ASoC: Intel:
bytcr_rt5651: Add new IN2_HS_IN3 input map and a quirk using it"). This
was based on the assumption then some devices have the internal mic
connected to IN2 only. Further testing has shown that this is wrong and the
internal mic is always connected to IN1 and sometimes to both IN1 and IN2.
TL;DR: Both BYT_RT5651_IN2_MAP and BYT_RT5651_IN2_HS_IN3_MAP are based on
on wrong assumptions from the past and are no longer useful now, so they
can both be removed.

Further testing on all 6 model x86 tablets with a rt5651 which I have
access to for testing has shown that their single (mono) microphone is
connected to both IN1 *and* IN2.
The previous default mapping of IN2 was based on testing on the same 6
tablets, where the internal mic works fine with a mapping of IN2. But it
works fine too with a mapping of IN1.
This commit changes the default input mapping to to use IN1 instead of
IN2, to match the mapping used for the other mono devices in the DMI quirk
table. So that we need less different mappings.
The same change is made to the Chuwi Vi8 Plus quirks, which is one of the
6 models tested.
This is a preparation patch for simplifying the maps in a follow-up commit.

Almost all boards use the mclk and use the same jack-detect settings, add
a BYT_RT5651_DEFAULT_QUIRKS define for this.
This shaves of some lines and makes it easier to see which settings are
unique to a certain model.

On APL, commit fd0f237572
("ASoC: Intel: bxt: Move codec sysclk config to codec_init function")
fixed an issue related to jack detection.
The MCLK for DA7219 does not change in this platform, but is
currently being configured everytime as part of the platform_clock
event handler for DAPM. The upshot of this is that we have
unnecessary calls to this function, and it also means that if
a stream hasn't yet been started, DA7219 driver does not have the
correct MCLK rates programmed and so the HP detection feature does
not operate as expected.
The same fix is needed on KBL.
This patch rectifies this issue by moving the sysclk call to
codec_init function so it's only called once at initialisation.

Many X86 devices using a BYT SoC + RT5651 codec are cheap devices with
generic DMI strings, causing snd_soc_set_dmi_name() to fail to set a
long_name, making it impossible for userspace to have a correct UCM
profile which knowns which input is connected to the internal mic,
which input is connected to the hsmic (for correct jack-based switching)
and which inputs are unused.
Our quirks already specify which inputs the internal and headset mic
are connected to.
This commit sets a long_name based on the quirks so that userspace can
have UCM profiles doing the right thing based on the long_name.
Note that if we ever encounter the need for a special UCM profile for
some device we can add a quirk to set a specific long_name for the
device,

Add a quirk for the ARCHOS 80 Cesium 8" windows tablet, this device mostly
works with the default settings, except that it has only one speaker.

The nau8824 codec can detect whether a headset or plain headphones is
inserted (as well as button presses on the headset) as such the jack_type
passed to snd_soc_card_jack_new() should include SND_JACK_MICROPHONE.

Even with our recently tweaked defaults, quite a few bytcr_rt5640 devices
still need quirks to be fully functional. This commits adds quirks where
necessary for the 16 bytcr_rt5640 devices I have access to.
The quirks are added for the following reasons:
1) Devices with only one speaker need the mono quirk to avoid driving an
unused and potentially short-circuited output. 8 of my sample of 16 devs
are mono, 4 of these would work with the defaults if it were not for their
mono speaker.
2) Devices using a different input for the internal mic then the default,
this is the case for 6 of my sample of 16 devices.
3) BYTCR devices without an ACPI channel map, which do not work with the
default of SSP0-AIF2, this is the case for 2 of my sample of 16 devices.
4) Devices which need non-default jack-detect settings, this is the case
for 6 of my sample of 16 devices.
This commit add quirks for the following devices:

Out of the 11 BYTCR devices which I have access to for testing, 6 use
JD1IN4P for jack-detect, 2 use JD1IN4P non-inverted and the other 3 use
JD2IN4N, the ones not using JD1IN4P are all also special in other ways and
need a DMI quirk regardless.
All 5 BYT (non CR) devices which I have access to use JD2IN4N.
