The function setup_tsb_params has exactly one caller tsb_grow. The
function tsb_grow passes in a tsb_bytes value that is between 8192 and
1048576 inclusive, and is guaranteed to be a power of 2. The function
setup_tsb_params verifies this property with a switch statement and
then prints an error and causes the task to exit if this is not true.
In practice that print statement can never be reached because tsb_grow
never passes in a bad tsb_size. So if tsb_size ever gets a bad value
that is a kernel bug.
So replace the do_exit which is effectively an open coded version of
BUG() with an actuall call to BUG(). Making it clearer that this
is a case that can never, and should never happen.

Documentation/kbuild/makefiles.rst suggests to use "archclean" for
cleaning arch/$(SRCARCH)/boot/, but it is not a hard requirement.
Since commit d92cc4d516 ("kbuild: require all architectures to have
arch/$(SRCARCH)/Kbuild"), we can use the "subdir- += boot" trick for
all architectures. This can take advantage of the parallel option (-j)
for "make clean".
I also cleaned up the comments in arch/$(SRCARCH)/Makefile. The "archdep"
target no longer exists.

Use the generic dma remapping allocator instead of open coding it.
This also avoids setting up page tables from irq context which is
generally dangerous and uses the atomic pool instead.
Note that this changes the kernel virtual address at which the
dma coherent memory is mapped from the DVMA_VADDR region to the general
vmalloc pool. I could not find any indication that this matters
for the hardware.

LEON only needs snooping when DMA accesses are not seen on the processor
bus. Given that coherent allocations are mapped uncached this can't
happen for those allocations.

Both arch_ptrace_stop_needed and arch_ptrace_stop are called with an
exit_code and a siginfo structure. Neither argument is used by any of
the implementations so just remove the unneeded arguments.
The two arechitectures that implement arch_ptrace_stop are ia64 and
sparc. Both architectures flush their register stacks before a
ptrace_stack so that all of the register information can be accessed
by debuggers.
As the question of if a register stack needs to be flushed is
independent of why ptrace is stopping not needing arguments make sense.

The __kretprobe_trampoline_handler() callback, called from low level
arch kprobes methods, has the 'trampoline_address' parameter, which is
entirely superfluous as it basically just replicates:
dereference_kernel_function_descriptor(kretprobe_trampoline)
In fact we had bugs in arch code where it wasn't replicated correctly.
So remove this superfluous parameter and use kretprobe_trampoline_addr()
instead.

The general convention for pcibios_* hooks is that they're named after the
corresponding pci_* function they provide a hook for. The exception is
pcibios_add_device() which provides a hook for pci_device_add().
Rename pcibios_add_device() to pcibios_device_add() so it matches
pci_device_add().
Also, remove the export of the microblaze version. The only caller must be
compiled as a built-in so there's no reason for the export.

The sparc mdesc code does pointer games with 'struct mdesc_hdr', but
didn't describe to the compiler how that header is then followed by the
data that the header describes.
As a result, gcc is now unhappy since it does stricter pointer range
tracking, and doesn't understand about how these things work. This
results in various errors like:

Currently, the install target in arch/sparc/Makefile descends into
arch/sparc/boot/Makefile to invoke the shell script, but there is no

The .map_sg() op now expects an error code instead of zero on failure.
Returning an errno from __sbus_iommu_map_sg() results in
sbus_iommu_map_sg_gflush() and sbus_iommu_map_sg_pflush() returning an
errno, as those functions are wrappers around __sbus_iommu_map_sg().

SOCK_SNDBUF_LOCK and SOCK_RCVBUF_LOCK flags disable automatic socket
buffers adjustment done by kernel (see tcp_fixup_rcvbuf() and
tcp_sndbuf_expand()). If we've just created a new socket this adjustment
is enabled on it, but if one changes the socket buffer size by
setsockopt(SO_{SND,RCV}BUF*) it becomes disabled.
CRIU needs to call setsockopt(SO_{SND,RCV}BUF*) on each socket on
restore as it first needs to increase buffer sizes for packet queues
restore and second it needs to restore back original buffer sizes. So
after CRIU restore all sockets become non-auto-adjustable, which can
decrease network performance of restored applications significantly.
CRIU need to be able to restore sockets with enabled/disabled adjustment
to the same state it was before dump, so let's add special setsockopt
for it.
Let's also export SOCK_SNDBUF_LOCK and SOCK_RCVBUF_LOCK flags to uAPI so
that using these interface one can reenable automatic socket buffer
adjustment on their sockets.

In case of JITs, each of the JIT backends compiles the BPF nospec instruction
/either/ to a machine instruction which emits a speculation barrier /or/ to
/no/ machine instruction in case the underlying architecture is not affected
by Speculative Store Bypass or has different mitigations in place already.
This covers both x86 and (implicitly) arm64: In case of x86, we use 'lfence'
instruction for mitigation. In case of arm64, we rely on the firmware mitigation
as controlled via the ssbd kernel parameter. Whenever the mitigation is enabled,
it works for all of the kernel code with no need to provide any additional
instructions here (hence only comment in arm64 JIT). Other archs can follow
as needed. The BPF nospec instruction is specifically targeting Spectre v4
since i) we don't use a serialization barrier for the Spectre v1 case, and
ii) mitigation instructions for v1 and v4 might be different on some archs.
The BPF nospec is required for a future commit, where the BPF verifier does
annotate intermediate BPF programs with speculation barriers.

Parts of linux/compat.h are under an #ifdef, but we end up
using more of those over time, moving things around bit by
bit.
To get it over with once and for all, make all of this file
uncondititonal now so it can be accessed everywhere. There
are only a few types left that are in asm/compat.h but not
yet in the asm-generic version, so add those in the process.
This requires providing a few more types in asm-generic/compat.h
that were not already there. The only tricky one is
compat_sigset_t, which needs a little help on 32-bit architectures
and for x86.
