A mirror of the official Linux kernel repository just in case
f2b00be488
If a capability is stored on disk in v2 format cap_inode_getsecurity() will currently return in v2 format unconditionally. This is wrong: v2 cap should be equivalent to a v3 cap with zero rootid, and so the same conversions performed on it. If the rootid cannot be mapped, v3 is returned unconverted. Fix this so that both v2 and v3 return -EOVERFLOW if the rootid (or the owner of the fs user namespace in case of v2) cannot be mapped into the current user namespace. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
