Another round of SPDX updates for 5.2-rc6 Here is what I am guessing is going to be the last "big" SPDX update for 5.2. It contains all of the remaining GPLv2 and GPLv2+ updates that were "easy" to determine by pattern matching. The ones after this are going to be a bit more difficult and the people on the spdx list will be discussing them on a case-by-case basis now. Another 5000+ files are fixed up, so our overall totals are: Files checked: 64545 Files with SPDX: 45529 Compared to the 5.1 kernel which was: Files checked: 63848 Files with SPDX: 22576 This is a huge improvement. Also, we deleted another 20000 lines of boilerplate license crud, always nice to see in a diffstat. Linux kernel

There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
