A mirror of the official Linux kernel repository just in case
beaec533fc
Currently llist_for_each_entry() and llist_for_each_entry_safe() iterate until &pos->member != NULL. But when building the kernel with Clang, the compiler assumes &pos->member cannot be NULL if the member's offset is greater than 0 (which would be equivalent to the object being non-contiguous in memory). Therefore the loop condition is always true, and the loops become infinite. To work around this, introduce the member_address_is_nonnull() macro, which casts object pointer to uintptr_t, thus letting the member pointer to be NULL. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
