Primary kernel calls machine_crash_shutdown() to shut down non-boot cpus and save registers' status in per-cpu ELF notes before starting crash dump kernel. See kernel_kexec(). Even if not all secondary cpus have shut down, we do kdump anyway. As we don't have to make non-boot(crashed) cpus offline (to preserve correct status of cpus at crash dump) before shutting down, this patch also adds a variant of smp_send_stop(). Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
