Here is the big driver core updates for 5.11-rc1 This time there was a lot of different work happening here for some reason: - redo of the fwnode link logic, speeding it up greatly - auxiliary bus added (this was a tag that will be pulled in from other trees/maintainers this merge window as well, as driver subsystems started to rely on it) - platform driver core cleanups on the way to fixing some long-time api updates in future releases - minor fixes and tweaks. All have been in linux-next with no (finally) reported issues. Testing there did helped in shaking issues out a lot :) Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org> -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iG0EABECAC0WIQT0tgzFv3jCIUoxPcsxR9QN2y37KQUCX9iEUQ8cZ3JlZ0Brcm9h aC5jb20ACgkQMUfUDdst+ynBJwCgjBAtVWXquZz4m/pyjn0HoTC7tdYAnAlQIj9s vRbPjOgH9R+YRJzFs1Kx =X6UP -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'driver-core-5.11-rc1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/driver-core Pull driver core updates from Greg KH: "Here is the big driver core updates for 5.11-rc1 This time there was a lot of different work happening here for some reason: - redo of the fwnode link logic, speeding it up greatly - auxiliary bus added (this was a tag that will be pulled in from other trees/maintainers this merge window as well, as driver subsystems started to rely on it) - platform driver core cleanups on the way to fixing some long-time api updates in future releases - minor fixes and tweaks. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
