As the Alpha PMU doesn't support context exclusion let's advertise the PERF_PMU_CAP_NO_EXCLUDE capability. This ensures that perf will prevent us from handling events where any exclusion flags are set. Let's also remove the now unnecessary check for exclusion flags. This change means that __hw_perf_event_init will now also indicate that it doesn't support exclude_host and exclude_guest and will now implicitly return -EINVAL instead of -EPERM. This is likely more desirable as -EPERM will result in a kernel.perf_event_paranoid related warning from the perf userspace utility. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
