83552892b7 mips: ralink: mt7620: introduce 'soc_device' initialization
MT7620 SoCs have their own 'ralink_soc_info' structure with some
information about the soc itself. In order to be able to retrieve this
information from driver code and avoid architecture dependencies for
retrieving these details introduce this 'soc_device'. Set 'data' pointer
points to the struct 'ralink_soc_info' to be able to export also current
soc information using this mechanism. We need to select 'SOC_BUS' in
Kconfig configuration for these SoCs.

2a12187d58 of/fdt: run soc memory setup when early_init_dt_scan_memory fails
If memory has been found early_init_dt_scan_memory now returns 1. If
it hasn't found any memory it will return 0, allowing other memory
setup mechanisms to carry on.

Previously early_init_dt_scan_memory always returned 0 without
distinguishing between any kind of memory setup being done or not. Any
code path after the early_init_dt_scan memory call in the ramips
plat_mem_setup code wouldn't be executed anymore. Making
early_init_dt_scan_memory the only way to initialize the memory.

Some boards, including my mt7621 based Cudy X6 board, depend on memory
initialization being done via the soc_info.mem_detect function
pointer. Those wouldn't be able to obtain memory and panic the kernel
during early bootup with the message "early_init_dt_alloc_memory_arch:
Failed to allocate 12416 bytes align=0x40".

76ce51798c MIPS: ralink: mt7621: avoid to init common ralink reset controller
Commit 38a8553b0a ("clk: ralink: make system controller node a reset provider")
make system controller a reset provider for mt7621 ralink SoCs. Ralink init code
also tries to start previous common reset controller which at the end tries to
find device tree node 'ralink,rt2880-reset'. mt7621 device tree file is not
using at all this node anymore. Hence avoid to init this common reset controller
for mt7621 ralink SoCs to avoid 'Failed to find reset controller node' boot
error trace error.

7c18b64bba mips: ralink: mt7621: do not use kzalloc too early
With CONFIG_SLUB=y, following commit 6edf2576a6 ("mm/slub: enable
debugging memory wasting of kmalloc") mt7621 failed to boot very early,
without showing any console messages.
This exposed the pre-existing bug of mt7621.c using kzalloc before normal
memory management was available.
Prior to this slub change, there existed the unintended protection against
"kmem_cache *s" being NULL as slab_pre_alloc_hook() happened to
return NULL and bailed out of slab_alloc_node().
This allowed mt7621 prom_soc_init to fail in the soc_dev_init kzalloc,
but continue booting without the SOC_BUS driver device registered.

Console output from a DEBUG_ZBOOT vmlinuz kernel loading,
with mm/slub modified to warn on kmem_cache zero or null:

There will be merge conflict with a fbtft change and the spi driver

cc19db8b31 MIPS: ralink: mt7621: do memory detection on KSEG1
It's reported that current memory detection code occasionally detects
larger memory under some bootloaders.
Current memory detection code tests whether address space wraps around
on KSEG0, which is unreliable because it's cached.

Rewrite memory size detection to perform the same test on KSEG1 instead.
While at it, this patch also does the following two things:
1. use a fixed pattern instead of a random function pointer as the magic
   value.
2. add an additional memory write and a second comparison as part of the
test to prevent possible smaller memory detection result due to
   leftover values in memory.

fe7498ef79 PCI: mt7621: Move MIPS setup to pcibios_root_bridge_prepare()
On the MIPS ralink mt7621 platform, we need to set up I/O coherency units
based on the host bridge apertures.

To remove this arch dependency from the driver itself, move the coherency
setup from the driver to pcibios_root_bridge_prepare().

35f752be4f mips: ralink: convert to CONFIG_COMMON_CLK
ralink only has a very trivial clock implementation, with everything
being fixed clocks.

Convert it to CONFIG_COMMON_CLK to reduce the number of platforms
that rely on legacy clocks. Of course, the clocks really should
be read from the device tree instead, but this is a step into that
direction.

This adds about 50KB to the kernel image size, which is an unfortunate
increase, but not as bad as I had feared:

276e552e08 pinctrl: ralink: move ralink architecture pinmux header into the driver
Ralink architecture is making use of the header located in
'arch/mips/include/asm/mach-ralink/pinmux.h' to stablish the
mechanisms to make derived SoCs to set its pin functions and
groups. In order to move all architecture pinmux into a more
accurate place which is 'drivers/pinctrl/ralink' we have to
first of all move this file also there with a small modification
which creates 'rt2880_pinmux_init' function to allow SoCs pinctrl
drivers to pass its configuration to the common code located in
'pinctrl-rt2880.c' file.

fef532ea0c MIPS: ralink: export rt_sysc_membase for rt2880_wdt.c
rt2880_wdt.c uses (well, attempts to use) rt_sysc_membase. However,
when this watchdog driver is built as a loadable module, there is a
build error since the rt_sysc_membase symbol is not exported.
Export it to quell the build error.

ERROR: modpost: "rt_sysc_membase" [drivers/watchdog/rt2880_wdt.ko] undefined!
