ASoC: mchp-i2s-mcc: Add FIFOs support
I2S-MCC found on SAMA7G5 includes 2 FIFOs (capture and playback). When
FIFOs are enabled, bits I2SMCC_ISRA.TXLRDYx and I2SMCC_ISRA.TXRRDYx must
not be used. Bits I2SMCC_ISRB.TXFFRDY and I2SMCC_ISRB.RXFFRDY must be used

ASoC: mchp-i2s-mcc: Add support to select TDM pins
SAMA7G5's I2S-MCC has 4 pairs of DIN/DOUT pins. Since TDM only uses a
single pair of pins for synchronous capture and playback, the controller
needs to be told which of the pair is connected. This can be mentioned
using the "microchip,tdm-data-pair" property from DT. The property is
optional, useful only if TDM is used. If it's missing, DIN/DOUT 0 pins
will be used by default.

ASoC: mchp-i2s-mcc: Add multi-channel support for I2S and LEFT_J formats
The latest I2S-MCC available in SAMA7G5 supports multi-channel for I2S and
Left-Justified formats. For this, the new version uses 8 (4 * 2) input and
output pins, with each pin being responsible for 2 channels. This sums up
to a total of 8 channels for synchronous capture and playback.

ASoC: atmel-pdc: Use managed DMA buffer allocation
Instead of manually managing its DMA buffers using
dma_{alloc,free}_coherent() lets the sound core take care of this using
managed buffers.

On one hand this reduces the amount of boiler plate code, but the main
motivation for the change is to use the shared code where possible. This
makes it easier to argue about correctness and that the code does not
contain subtle bugs like data leakage or similar.

ASoC: atmel: fix atmel_ssc_set_audio link failure
The ssc audio driver can call into both pdc and dma backends. With the
latest rework, the logic to do this in a safe way avoiding link errors
was removed, bringing back link errors that were fixed long ago in commit
061981ff8c ("ASoC: atmel: properly select dma driver state") such as

Fix it this time using Makefile hacks and a comment to prevent this

ASoC: atmel: atmel_ssc_dai: move .suspend/.resume to component
There is no big difference at implementation for .suspend/.resume
between DAI driver and Component driver.
But because some driver is using DAI version, thus ALSA SoC needs
to keep supporting it, hence, framework becoming verbose.
If we can switch all DAI driver .suspend/.resume to Component driver,
we can remove verbose code from ALSA SoC.

Driver is getting its private data via dai->dev.
But dai->dev and component->dev are same dev, thus, we can convert
these. For same reason, we can convert dai->active to
component->active if necessary.

This patch moves DAI driver .suspend/.resume to Component driver

ASoC: atmel_ssc_dai: Remove wrong spinlock usage
A potential bug was reported in the email "[BUG] atmel_ssc_dai: a
possible sleep-in-atomic bug in atmel_ssc_shutdown"[1]

Indeed in the function atmel_ssc_shutdown() free_irq() was called in a
critical section protected by spinlock.

However this spinlock is only used in atmel_ssc_shutdown() and
atmel_ssc_startup() functions. After further analysis, it occurred that
the call to these function are already protected by mutex used on the
calling functions.

Then we can remove the spinlock which will fix this bug as a side
effect. Thanks to this patch the following message disappears:

"BUG: sleeping function called from invalid context at

ASoC: mchp-i2s-mcc: Fix simultaneous capture and playback in master mode
This controller supports capture and playback running at the same time,
with the limitation that both capture and playback must be configured the
same way (sample rate, sample format, number of channels, etc). For this,
we have to assure that the configuration registers look the same when
capture and playback are initiated.
This patch fixes a bug in which the controller is in master mode and the
hw_params() callback fails for the second audio stream. The fail occurs
because the divisors are calculated after comparing the configuration
registers for capture and playback. The fix consists in calculating the
divisors before comparing the configuration registers. BCLK and LRC are
then configured and started only if the controller is not already running.

Current ALSA SoC avoid to add duplicate component to rtd,

But, some CPU driver is using generic DMAEngine, in such case, both
CPU component and Platform component will have same of_node/name.
In other words, there are some components which are different but
have same of_node/name.

In such case, Card driver definitely need to select Platform even
though it is same as CPU.
It is depends on CPU driver, but is difficult to know it from Card driver.
