b9b721d117 iommu/arm-smmu-qcom: Add debug support for TLB sync timeouts
TLB sync timeouts can be due to various reasons such as TBU power down
or pending TCU/TBU invalidation/sync and so on. Debugging these often
require dumping of some implementation defined registers to know the
status of TBU/TCU operations and some of these registers are not
accessible in non-secure world such as from kernel and requires SMC
calls to read them in the secure world. So, add this debug support
to dump implementation defined registers for TLB sync timeout issues.

4bf7fda4dc iommu/dma: Add config for PCI SAC address trick
For devices stuck behind a conventional PCI bus, saving extra cycles at
33MHz is probably fairly significant. However since native PCI Express
is now the norm for high-performance devices, the optimisation to always
prefer 32-bit addresses for the sake of avoiding DAC is starting to look
rather anachronistic. Technically 32-bit addresses do have shorter TLPs
on PCIe, but unless the device is saturating its link bandwidth with
small transfers it seems unlikely that the difference is appreciable.

What definitely is appreciable, however, is that the IOVA allocator
doesn't behave all that well once the 32-bit space starts getting full.
As DMA working sets get bigger, this optimisation increasingly backfires
and adds considerable overhead to the dma_map path for use-cases like
high-bandwidth networking. We've increasingly bandaged the allocator
in attempts to mitigate this, but it remains fundamentally at odds with
other valid requirements to try as hard as possible to satisfy a request
within the given limit; what we really need is to just avoid this odd
notion of a speculative allocation when it isn't beneficial anyway.

Unfortunately that's where things get awkward... Having been present on
x86 for 15 years or so now, it turns out there are systems which fail to
properly define the upper limit of usable IOVA space for certain devices
and this trick was the only thing letting them work OK. I had a similar
ulterior motive for a couple of early arm64 systems when originally
adding it to iommu-dma, but those really should be fixed with proper
firmware bindings by now. Let's be brave and default it to off in the
hope that CI systems and developers will find and fix those bugs, but
expect that desktop-focused distro configs are likely to want to turn
it back on for maximum compatibility.

7ba564722d iommu/sva: Rename CONFIG_IOMMU_SVA_LIB to CONFIG_IOMMU_SVA
This CONFIG option originally only referred to the Shared
Virtual Address (SVA) library. But it is now also used for
non-library portions of code.

Drop the "_LIB" suffix so that there is just one configuration
option for all code relating to SVA.

424953cf3c qcom_scm: hide Kconfig symbol
Now that SCM can be a loadable module, we have to add another
dependency to avoid link failures when ipa or adreno-gpu are
built-in:

This can happen when CONFIG_ARCH_QCOM is disabled and we don't select
QCOM_MDT_LOADER, but some other module selects QCOM_SCM. Ideally we'd
use a similar dependency here to what we have for QCOM_RPROC_COMMON,
but that causes dependency loops from other things selecting QCOM_SCM.

This appears to be an endless problem, so try something different this
time:

 - CONFIG_QCOM_SCM becomes a hidden symbol that nothing 'depends on'
   but that is simply selected by all of its users

 - All the stubs in include/linux/qcom_scm.h can go away

 - arm-smccc.h needs to provide a stub for __arm_smccc_smc() to
   allow compile-testing QCOM_SCM on all architectures.

 - To avoid a circular dependency chain involving RESET_CONTROLLER
   and PINCTRL_SUNXI, drop the 'select RESET_CONTROLLER' statement.
   According to my testing this still builds fine, and the QCOM
   platform selects this symbol already.

8cc633190b iommu: Clarify default domain Kconfig
Although strictly it is the AMD and Intel drivers which have an existing
expectation of lazy behaviour by default, it ends up being rather
unintuitive to describe this literally in Kconfig. Express it instead as
an architecture dependency, to clarify that it is a valid config-time
decision. The end result is the same since virtio-iommu doesn't support
lazy mode and thus falls back to strict at runtime regardless.

The per-architecture disparity is a matter of historical expectations:
the AMD and Intel drivers have been lazy by default since 2008, and
changing that gets noticed by people asking where their I/O throughput
has gone. Conversely, Arm-based systems with their wider assortment of
IOMMU drivers mostly only support strict mode anyway; only the Arm SMMU
drivers have later grown support for passthrough and lazy mode, for
users who wanted to explicitly trade off isolation for performance.
These days, reducing the default level of isolation in a way which may
go unnoticed by users who expect otherwise hardly seems worth risking
for the sake of one line of Kconfig, so here's where we are.

faf8e75396 iommu/dart: APPLE_DART should depend on ARCH_APPLE
The Apple DART (Device Address Resolution Table) IOMMU is only present
on Apple ARM SoCs like the M1.  Hence add a dependency on ARCH_APPLE, to
prevent asking the user about this driver when configuring a kernel
without support for the Apple Silicon SoC family.

02252b3bfe iommu/amd: Add support for IOMMU default DMA mode build options
Make IOMMU_DEFAULT_LAZY default for when AMD_IOMMU config is set, which
matches current behaviour.

For "fullflush" param, just call iommu_set_dma_strict(true) directly.

Since we get a strict vs lazy mode print already in iommu_subsys_init(),
and maintain a deprecation print when "fullflush" param is passed, drop the
prints in amd_iommu_init_dma_ops().

Finally drop global flag amd_iommu_unmap_flush, as it has no longer has any
purpose.

Make IOMMU_DEFAULT_LAZY default for when INTEL_IOMMU config is set,
as is current behaviour.

Also delete global flag intel_iommu_strict:
- In intel_iommu_setup(), call iommu_set_dma_strict(true) directly. Also
  remove the print, as iommu_subsys_init() prints the mode and we have
  already marked this param as deprecated.

- For cap_caching_mode() check in intel_iommu_setup(), call
  iommu_set_dma_strict(true) directly; also reword the accompanying print
  with a level downgrade and also add the missing '\n'.

- For Ironlake GPU, again call iommu_set_dma_strict(true) directly and
  keep the accompanying print.

712d8f2058 iommu: Enhance IOMMU default DMA mode build options
First, add build options IOMMU_DEFAULT_{LAZY|STRICT}, so that we have the
opportunity to set {lazy|strict} mode as default at build time. Then put
the two config options in an choice, as they are mutually exclusive.

b42000e4b8 firmware: qcom_scm: Allow qcom_scm driver to be loadable as a permenent module
Allow the qcom_scm driver to be loadable as a permenent module.

This still uses the "depends on QCOM_SCM || !QCOM_SCM" bit to
ensure that drivers that call into the qcom_scm driver are
also built as modules. While not ideal in some cases its the
only safe way I can find to avoid build errors without having
those drivers select QCOM_SCM and have to force it on (as
QCOM_SCM=n can be valid for those drivers).

Reviving this now that Saravana's fw_devlink defaults to on,
which should avoid loading troubles seen before.

8ce4904bfd iommu/virtio: Enable x86 support
With the VIOT support in place, x86 platforms can now use the
virtio-iommu.

Because the other x86 IOMMU drivers aren't yet ready to use the
acpi_dma_setup() path, x86 doesn't implement arch_setup_dma_ops() at the
moment. Similarly to Vt-d and AMD IOMMU, clear the DMA ops and call
iommu_setup_dma_ops() from probe_finalize().

3cf485540e ACPI: Add driver for the VIOT table
The ACPI Virtual I/O Translation Table describes topology of
para-virtual platforms, similarly to vendor tables DMAR, IVRS and IORT.
For now it describes the relation between virtio-iommu and the endpoints
it manages.

Three steps are needed to configure DMA of endpoints:

(1) acpi_viot_init(): parse the VIOT table, find or create the fwnode
    associated to each vIOMMU device. This needs to happen after
    acpi_scan_init(), because it relies on the struct device and their
    fwnode to be available.

(2) When probing the vIOMMU device, the driver registers its IOMMU ops
    within the IOMMU subsystem. This step doesn't require any
    intervention from the VIOT driver.

(3) viot_iommu_configure(): before binding the endpoint to a driver,
    find the associated IOMMU ops. Register them, along with the
    endpoint ID, into the device's iommu_fwspec.

If step (3) happens before step (2), it is deferred until the IOMMU is
initialized, then retried.

The IOMMU in many SoC depends on the MM clocks and power-domain which
are device_initcall normally, thus the subsys_init here is not helpful.
This patch switches it to module_platform_driver which also allow the
driver built as module.

Correspondingly switch the config to tristate, and update the
iommu_ops's owner.

32784a9562 iommu/arm-smmu-v3: Implement iommu_sva_bind/unbind()
The sva_bind() function allows devices to access process address spaces
using a PASID (aka SSID).

(1) bind() allocates or gets an existing MMU notifier tied to the
    (domain, mm) pair. Each mm gets one PASID.

(2) Any change to the address space calls invalidate_range() which sends
    ATC invalidations (in a subsequent patch).

(3) When the process address space dies, the release() notifier disables
    the CD to allow reclaiming the page tables. Since release() has to
    be light we do not instruct device drivers to stop DMA here, we just
    ignore incoming page faults from this point onwards.

    To avoid any event 0x0a print (C_BAD_CD) we disable translation
    without clearing CD.V. PCIe Translation Requests and Page Requests
    are silently denied. Don't clear the R bit because the S bit can't
    be cleared when STALL_MODEL==0b10 (forced), and clearing R without
    clearing S is useless. Faulting transactions will stall and will be
    aborted by the IOPF handler.

(4) After stopping DMA, the device driver releases the bond by calling
    unbind(). We release the MMU notifier, free the PASID and the bond.

Three structures keep track of bonds:
* arm_smmu_bond: one per {device, mm} pair, the handle returned to the
  device driver for a bind() request.
* arm_smmu_mmu_notifier: one per {domain, mm} pair, deals with ATS/TLB
  invalidations and clearing the context descriptor on mm exit.
* arm_smmu_ctx_desc: one per mm, holds the pinned ASID and pgd.

3f1ce8e85e iommu/arm-smmu-v3: Share process page tables
With Shared Virtual Addressing (SVA), we need to mirror CPU TTBR, TCR,
MAIR and ASIDs in SMMU contexts. Each SMMU has a single ASID space split
into two sets, shared and private. Shared ASIDs correspond to those
obtained from the arch ASID allocator, and private ASIDs are used for
"classic" map/unmap DMA.

A possible conflict happens when trying to use a shared ASID that has
already been allocated for private use by the SMMU driver. This will be
addressed in a later patch by replacing the private ASID. At the
moment we return -EBUSY.

Each mm_struct shared with the SMMU will have a single context
descriptor. Add a refcount to keep track of this. It will be protected
by the global SVA lock.

Introduce a new arm-smmu-v3-sva.c file and the CONFIG_ARM_SMMU_V3_SVA
option to let users opt in SVA support.

b4ceb4a535 iommu: Tidy up Kconfig for SoC IOMMUs
Wacky COMPILE_TEST dependencies based on who used to define
dev_archdata.iommu can go.

Dependencies on ARM or ARM64 already implied by the ARCH_* platform
selection can go.

The entire IOMMU_SUPPORT menu already depends on MMU, so those can go.

IOMMU_DMA is for the architecture's DMA API implementation to choose,
and its interface to IOMMU drivers is properly stubbed out if disabled,
so dependencies on or selections of that can go (AMD_IOMMU is the
current exception since the x86 drivers have to provide their own entire
dma_map_ops implementation).

Since commit ed6ccf10f2 ("dma-mapping: properly stub out the DMA API
for !CONFIG_HAS_DMA"), drivers which simply use the dma-mapping API
should not need to depend on HAS_DMA, so those can go.

And a long-dead option for code removed from the MSM driver 4 years ago
can also go.

9486727f59 iommu/vt-d: Make Intel SVM code 64-bit only
Current Intel SVM is designed by setting the pgd_t of the processor page
table to FLPTR field of the PASID entry. The first level translation only
supports 4 and 5 level paging structures, hence it's infeasible for the
IOMMU to share a processor's page table when it's running in 32-bit mode.
Let's disable 32bit support for now and claim support only when all the
missing pieces are ready in the future.

4100b8c229 iommu: Add Allwinner H6 IOMMU driver
The Allwinner H6 has introduced an IOMMU for a few DMA controllers, mostly
video related: the display engine, the video decoders / encoders, the
camera capture controller, etc.

The design is pretty simple compared to other IOMMUs found in SoCs: there's
a single instance, controlling all the masters, with a single address
space.

It also features a performance monitoring unit that allows to retrieve
various informations (per-master and global TLB accesses, hits and misses,
access latency, etc) that isn't supported at the moment.

configurations, its presence makes arch/powerpc/kvm/Makefile to select

4a663dae47 iommu/vt-d: Add build dependency on IOASID
IOASID code is needed by VT-d scalable mode for PASID allocation.
Add explicit dependency such that IOASID is built-in whenever Intel
IOMMU is enabled.
Otherwise, aux domain code will fail when IOMMU is built-in and IOASID
is compiled as a module.

e93a1695d7 iommu: Enable compile testing for some of drivers
Some of the IOMMU drivers can be compile tested to increase build
coverage.  The OMAP, Rockchip and Exynos drivers use
device.dev_archdata.iommu field which does not exist on all platforms.
The sPAPR TCE and ARM SMMU have also restrictions where they can be
built.

fa4afd78ea iommu/virtio: Build virtio-iommu as module
Now that the infrastructure changes are in place, enable virtio-iommu to
be built as a module. Remove the redundant pci_request_acs() call, since
it's not exported but is already invoked during DMA setup.
