This patch introduces a function wrapper to call the sk_error_report
callback. That will prepare to add additional handling whenever
sk_error_report is called, for example to trace socket errors.

When smc_sendmsg() is called before the SMC socket initialization has
completed, smc_tx_sendmsg() will access un-initialized fields of the
SMC socket which results in a null-pointer dereference.
Fix this by checking the socket state first in smc_tx_sendmsg().

Add the ability to collect SMC statistics information. Per-cpu
variables are used to collect the statistic information for better
performance and for reducing concurrency pitfalls. The code that is
collecting statistic data is implemented in macros to increase code
reuse and readability.

smc_lgr_cleanup() calls smcd_unregister_all_dmbs() as part of the link
group termination process. This is a leftover from the times when
smc_lgr_cleanup() scheduled a worker to actually free the link group.
Nowadays smc_lgr_cleanup() directly calls smc_lgr_free() without any
delay so an earlier dmb unregistration is no longer needed.
So remove smcd_unregister_all_dmbs() and the call to it.

If the device_add() for a smcd_dev fails, there's no cleanup step that
rolls back the earlier list_add(). The device subsequently gets freed,
and we end up with a corrupted list.
Add some error handling that removes the device from the list.

In smcd_alloc_dev(), if alloc_ordered_workqueue() fails, properly catch
it, clean up and return NULL to let the caller know there was a failure.
Move the call to alloc_ordered_workqueue higher in the function in order
to abort earlier without needing to unwind the call to device_initialize().

Because of recent interactions with developers from @umn.edu, all
commits from them have been recently re-reviewed to ensure if they were
correct or not.
Upon review, this commit was found to be incorrect for the reasons
below, so it must be reverted. It will be fixed up "correctly" in a
later kernel change.
The original commit causes a memory leak and does not properly fix the
issue it claims to fix. I will send a follow-on patch to resolve this
properly.

syzbot is able to setup kTLS on an SMC socket which coincidentally
uses sk_user_data too. Later, kTLS treats it as psock so triggers a
refcnt warning. The root cause is that smc_setsockopt() simply calls
TCP setsockopt() which includes TCP_ULP. I do not think it makes
sense to setup kTLS on top of SMC sockets, so we should just disallow
this setup.
It is hard to find a commit to blame, but we can apply this patch
since the beginning of TCP_ULP.

Using snprintf() to convert not null-terminated strings to null
terminated strings may cause out of bounds read in the source string.
Therefore use memcpy() and terminate the target string with a null

The parent of an ib device is used to retrieve the PCI device
attributes. It turns out that there are possible cases when an ib device
has no parent set in the device structure, which may lead to page
faults when trying to access this memory.
Fix that by checking the parent pointer and consolidate the pci device
specific processing in a new function.

uses the SMC-R linkgroup list as entry point, not
the socket list, which makes linkgroup diagnosis
possible, in case linkgroup does not contain active

During link creation add net-device ifindex and ib-device
name to link structure. This is needed for diagnostic purposes.
When diagnostic information is gathered, we need to traverse
device, linkgroup and link structures, to be able to do that
we need to hold a spinlock for the linkgroup list, without this
diagnostic information in link structure, another device list
mutex holding would be necessary to dereference the device
pointer in the link structure which would be impossible when
holding a spinlock already.

With the multi-subnet support of SMC-Dv2 the match for existing link
groups should not include the vlanid of the network device.
Set ini->smcd_version accordingly before the call to smc_conn_create()
and use this value in smc_conn_create() to skip the vlanid check.

To allow better problem diagnosis the return codes for SMC-Dv2 are
improved by this patch. A few more CLC DECLINE codes are defined and
sent to the peer when an SMC connection cannot be established.
There are now multiple SMC variations that are offered by the client and
the server may encounter problems to initialize all of them.
Because only one diagnosis code can be sent to the client the decision
was made to send the first code that was encountered. Because the server
tries the variations in the order of importance (SMC-Dv2, SMC-D, SMC-R)
this makes sure that the diagnosis code of the most important variation
is sent.

The patch that repaired the invalid return code in smcd_new_buf_create()
missed to take care of errno ENOSPC which has a special meaning that no
more DMBEs can be registered on the device. Fix that by keeping this
errno value during the translation of the return code.

smc_listen_work() calls smc_listen_decline() on label out_decl,
providing the ini pointer variable. But this pointer can still be null
when the label out_decl is reached.
Fix this by checking the ini variable in smc_listen_work() and call
smc_listen_decline() with the result directly.

smc_ism_register_dmb() returns error codes set by the ISM driver which
are not guaranteed to be negative or in the errno range. Such values
would not be handled by ERR_PTR() and finally the return code will be
used as a memory address.
Fix that by using a valid negative errno value with ERR_PTR().

The SMCD_DMBE_SIZES should include all valid DMBE buffer sizes, so the
correct value is 6 which means 1MB. With 7 the registration of an ISM
buffer would always fail because of the invalid size requested.
Fix that and set the value to 6.

When a delayed event is enqueued then the event worker will send this
event the next time it is running and no other flow is currently
active. The event handler is called for the delayed event, and the
pointer to the event keeps set in lgr->delayed_event. This pointer is
cleared later in the processing by smc_llc_flow_start().
This can lead to a use-after-free condition when the processing does not
reach smc_llc_flow_start(), but frees the event because of an error
situation. Then the delayed_event pointer is still set but the event is
freed.
Fix this by always clearing the delayed event pointer when the event is
provided to the event handler for processing, and remove the code to
clear it in smc_llc_flow_start().

Field ini->smcd_version is set to SMC_V2 before calling
smc_listen_ism_init(). This clears the V1 bit that may be set. When all
matching ISM V2 devices fail to initialize then the smcd_version field
needs to get restored to allow any possible V1 devices to initialize.
And be consistent, always go to the not_found label when no device was
found.
