b1f8933119 [media] mb86a20s: Fix estimate_rate setting
As reported by Dan Carpenter <dan.carpenter@oracle.com>:
        Smatch warnings:
        drivers/media/dvb-frontends/mb86a20s.c:644 mb86a20s_layer_bitrate() error: buffer overflow 'state->estimated_rate' 3 <= 3
What happens there is that estimate_rate index should be the layer
number, and not the guard interval.

5cb88ca84a [media] mb86a20s: Use 'layer' instead of 'i' on all places
We're using the anonymous 'i' to indicate the layer number
on several places on the driver. That's not good, as some
cut-and-paste type of change might be doing the wrong thing.
So, call it as "layer" everywhere.

cdcd141c95 [media] tuner-core: Change config from unsigned int to void *
config looks like a hack that was added to tuner-core to allow some
configuration of TDA8290 tuner (it's not used by any other driver).
But with the new configuration options of tda8290 driver (no_i2c_gate
and std_map), it's no longer sufficient.
Change config to be void * instead, which allows passing tuner-dependent
config struct to drivers.
Also update saa7134 driver to reflect this change (no other driver uses this).

48a8a03b58 [media] cx88: kernel bz#9476: Fix tone setting for Nova-S+ model 92001
Hauppauge Nova-S-Plus DVB-S model 92001 does not lock on horizontal
polarisation. According with the info provided at the BZ, model
92002 does.

The difference is that, on model 92001, the tone select is done via
isl6421, while, on other devices, this is done via cx24123 code.
This patch adds a way to override the demod's set_tone at isl6421
driver. In order to avoid regressions, the override is enabled
only for cx88 Nova S plus model 92001. For all other models and
devices, the set_tone is provided by the demod driver.

Patch originally proposed at bz@9476[1] by Michel Meyers and
John Donoghue but applying the original patch would break support
for all other devices based on isl6421.

fde04ab95d [media] demux.h: Remove duplicated enum
"enum dmx_ts_pes" and "typedef enum dmx_pes_type_t" are just the
same enum declared twice, since Kernel (2.6.12). There's no reason
to duplicate it there, and sparse complains about that:
drivers/media/dvb-core/dmxdev.c:600:55: warning: mixing different enum types
So, remove the internal define, keeping just the external one.
Internally, use only "enum dmx_ts_pes", as it is too late to drop
dmx_pes_type_t from the userspace API.

439797980a [media] exynos4-is: Correct input DMA YUV order configuration
This patch fixes erroneous setup of the YUV order caused by not
clearing FIMC_REG_MSCTRL_ORDER422_MASK bit field before setting
proper FIMC_REG_MSCTRL_ORDER422 bits. This resulted in false
colors for YUYV, YVYU, UYVY, VYUY color formats, depending in
what sequence those were configured by user space.
YUV order definitions are corrected so that following convention
is used:
        | byte3 | byte2 | byte1 | byte0

 YCBYCR | CR | Y | CB | Y

e90ad659cd [media] exynos4-is: Allow colorspace conversion at FIMC-LITE
The FIMC-LITE output DMA allows to configure different YUV order
than the order at the camera input interface. Thus there is some
limited colorspace conversion possible. This patch makes the
color format variable be per FIMC-LITE input/output, rather than
a global per device. This also fixes incorrect behavior where
color format at the FIMC-LITE.N subdev's source pad is modified
by VIDIOC_S_FMT ioctl on the related video node.
YUV order definitions are corrected so that we use notation:
         | byte3 | byte2 | byte1 | byte0
  -------+-------+-------+-------+------
  YCBYCR | CR | Y | CB | Y

da114376d3 [media] exynos4-is: Add FIMC-IS ISP I2C bus driver
This patch adds the ISP I2C bus controller driver files.
Creating a standard I2C bus adapter, even if the driver doesn't
actually communicate with the hardware and it is instead
controlled by the ISP firmware running on the Cortex-A5, allows
to use standard hardware description in the device tree. As the
sensor would have actually had a standard V4L2 sub-device driver
run on the host CPU.
This approach allows to adapt the driver with a relatively small
effort should the Imaging Subsystem architecture change so that
the I2C bus is handled by the host's CPU OS, rather than the
internal FIMC-IS ARM CPU firmware. The image sensor driver could
be a standard I2C client driver, as in case of most existing
image sensors.

9a761e4368 [media] exynos4-is: Add Exynos4x12 FIMC-IS driver
This patch adds a set of core files of the Exynos4x12 FIMC-IS
V4L2 driver. This includes main functionality like allocating
memory, loading the firmware, FIMC-IS register interface and
host CPU <-> IS command and error code definitions.
The driver currently exposes a single subdev named FIMC-IS-ISP,
which corresponds to the FIMC-IS ISP and DRC IP blocks.
The FIMC-IS-ISP subdev currently supports only a subset of user
controls. For other controls we need several extensions at the
V4L2 API. The supported standard controls are:
brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, sharpness, 3a_lock,
exposure_time_absolute, white_balance_auto_preset,
iso_sensitivity, iso_sensitivity_auto, exposure_metering_mode.

	drivers/media/common/siano/smscoreapi.c:396 smscore_translate_msg() error: buffer overflow 'siano_msgs' 401 <= 401

While it is almost impossible for this error to happen in

an special invalid answer to a message request, fixing it
is trivial. So, let's do it.

56fa1a6a6a [media] s5p-fimc: Change the driver directory name to exynos4-is
The s5p-fimc directory now contains drivers for multiple IP blocks
found in multiple Samsung application processors. This includes FIMC
(CAMIF), MIPI CSIS and FIMC LITE. FIMC-IS (Imaging Subsystem) driver
is going to be put into same directory. Hence we rename it to
exynos4-is as s5p-fimc was only relevant for early version of this
driver, when it only supported FIMC IP block.

The imaging subsystem drivers for Exynos4 SoC series and S5PV210 will
be included in drivers/media/platform/exynos4-is directory, with some
modules shared with exynos5 series, while the rest of exynos5 specific
modules will find their home in drivers/media/platform/exynos5-is.

The routine checking for mismatch in the image formats at sides of
the links is updated to account for the fact FIMC.X subdevs now have
sink pads at the pad indexes 0, 1 and source pad at pad index 2.

2b13f7d4e3 [media] s5p-fimc: Add device tree based sensors registration
The sensor (I2C and/or SPI client) devices are instantiated by their
corresponding control bus drivers. Since the I2C client's master clock
is often provided by a video bus receiver (host interface) or other
than I2C/SPI controller device, the drivers of those client devices
are not accessing hardware in their driver's probe() callback. Instead,
after enabling clock, the host driver calls back into a sub-device
when it wants to activate them. This pattern is used by some in-tree
drivers and this patch also uses it for DT case. This patch is intended
as a first step for adding device tree support to the S5P/Exynos SoC
camera drivers. The second one is adding support for asynchronous
sub-devices registration and clock control from sub-device driver
level. The bindings shall not change when asynchronous probing support
is added.

Some printk() debugging showed that vidioc_s_hw_freq_seek() setups
radio->curfreq to out of range value (lines 395-396) and calls
amradio_set_freq() to set this frequency on device without any
out-of-range checks.

Patch protects from setting up frequency on device to incorrect value
moving clamp_t check inside amradio_set_freq. With this patch we can
call amradio_set_freq() with out of range frequency from any place.
Also put comment that sometimes radio->curfreq is set to out of range
value in vidioc_s_hw_freq_seek().

2d466e1136 [media] em28xx: fix and separate the board hints for sensor devices

dead.
Separate it and move it to em28xx_hint_board() which already contains the board

This way, we have all board hints at a common place which makes it easier
to extend the code and reduces the risk of regressions.
It also makes it possible again to use the boards EM2750_BOARD_DLCW_130,

a3ea4bf98b [media] em28xx: add support for em25xx i2c bus B read/write/check device operations
The webcam "SpeedLink VAD Laplace" (em2765 + ov2640) uses a special algorithm
for i2c communication with the sensor, which is connected to a second i2c bus.
We don't know yet how to find out which devices support/use it.
It's very likely used by all em25xx and em276x+ bridges.
Tests with other em28xx chips (em2820, em2882/em2883) show, that this
algorithm always succeeds there although no slave device is connected.
The algorithm likely also works for real i2c client devices (OV2640 uses SCCB),

Which replaces the overriding of cropcap.bounds.height initialization outside
of the CROPCAP macro (which also initializes it), with passing a
different sheight value to the CROPCAP macro.
There are 2 problems with this warning fix:
1) The sheight value is used twice in the CROPCAP macro, and the old code
   only changed one resulting value.
2) The old code increased the .cropcap.bounds.height value (and did not
touch the .cropcap.defrect.height value at all) by 2, where as the fixed
   code increases it by 32, as the fixed code passes (576 + 2) + 0x20 - 2
to the CROPCAP macro, but the + 0x20 - 2 is already done by the macro so
now is done twice for .cropcap.bounds.height, and also is applied to
.cropcap.defrect.height where it should not be applied at all.
This patch fixes this by adding an extraheight parameter to the CROPCAP entry
and using it for the PAL entry.

79b0c64005 [media] v4l2: add new VIDIOC_DBG_G_CHIP_NAME ioctl
Simplify the debugging ioctls by creating the VIDIOC_DBG_G_CHIP_NAME ioctl.
This will eventually replace VIDIOC_DBG_G_CHIP_IDENT. Chip matching is done
by the name or index of subdevices or an index to a bridge chip. Most of this
can all be done automatically, so most drivers just need to provide get/set
register ops.
In particular, it is now possible to get/set subdev registers without
requiring assistance of the bridge driver.

c7c54a988d [media] sony-btf-mpx: the MPX driver for the sony BTF PAL/SECAM tuner
The Sony BTF PG472Z has an internal MPX to deal with mono/stereo/bilingual

73f35418a1 [media] v4l2-ioctl: check if an ioctl is valid
Just checking if the op exists isn't correct, you should check if the ioctl
is valid (which implies that the op exists as well).
One exception is g_std: if current_norm is non-zero, then the g_std op may be
absent. This sort of weird behavior is one of the reasons why I am trying to
get rid of current_norm.
This patch fixes the case where the g/s_std op is set, but these ioctls are
disabled. This can happen in drivers supporting multiple models, some that
have TV input (and support the STD API) and some that have a sensor (and do
not support the STD API). In the latter case qv4l2 would still show the
Standards combobox.

6cd247ef22 [media] v4l2-ctrls: eliminate lockdep false alarms for struct v4l2_ctrl_handler.lock
When calling v4l2_ctrl_add_handler(), lockdep would detect a potential
recursive locking problem on a situation that is by design intended and
not a recursive lock. This happened because all struct
v4l2_ctrl_handler.lock mutexes were created as members of the same lock
class in v4l2_ctrl_handler_init(), and v4l2_ctrl_add_handler() takes the
hdl->lock on two different v4l2_ctrl_handler instances.
This change breaks the large lockdep lock class for struct
v4l2_ctrl_handler.lock and breaks it into v4l2_ctrl_handler
instantiation specific lock classes with meaningful class names.
This will validly eliminate lockdep alarms for v4l2_ctrl_handler locking
validation, as long as the relationships between drivers adding v4l2
controls to their own handler from other v4l2 drivers' control handlers
remains straightforward.
struct v4l2_ctrl_handler.lock lock classes are created with names such
that the output of cat /proc/lockdep indicates where in the v4l2 driver
code v4l2_ctrl_handle_init() is being called on instantiations:
ffffffffa045f490 FD:   10 BD:    8 +.+...: cx2341x:1534:(hdl)->lock
ffffffffa0497d20 FD:   12 BD:    2 +.+.+.: saa7115:1581:(hdl)->lock

ffffffffa04fbc80 FD:   11 BD:    3 +.+.+.: wm8775:246:(&state->hdl)->lock
Some lock chains, that were previously causing the recursion alarms, are
now visible in the output of cat /proc/lockdep_chains:
irq_context: 0
[ffffffffa0497d20] saa7115:1581:(hdl)->lock

The ivtv_itvc function receives a pointer to v4l2_dbg_register. When we
