About Me and my role in the Fandom

Hi, I'm Minki the Avali.
I have created this page to clarify a few things for those, who are unfamiliar with Avali as well as for those who generally may have misconceptions about it or its parent fandom known as the furry fandom. As some folks might already know, the biggest issue that the internet has are haters. For those who are new to the internet, haters are people that generally just heavily dislike things just because they want to let their anger out without real world consequences for themselves which is sadly possible on the internet.
As I said on my about me, I am member of a few fandoms. The thing is, that some of these fandoms are part of or closely related to the furry fandom. There is nothing wrong with that and I will publically state here that I am part of it. These are all very cool fandoms with lots of friendly users. As with everything, some of the aformentioned fandoms sadly have had a few bad things happen in the past that none of us are fond of at all. These edge cases sadly often get taken as a sort of rectification for haters to spread hateful comments on the aformentioned fandoms. I personally never saw any of these happen myself but I think all the people involved in them should be ashamed of themselfs as they are ruining our reputation with it. The issue is, we can't really kick people out of the fandom as that would both cause more hate due to us "gatekeeping" it as well as just causing the bad actors to reappear with fresh alt accounts. Basically, we are stuck in a bit of a dilema here. There is hope however. In recent years, more and more people seem to have finally figured out to not just straight up trust what they read on the public platforms of the internet or what haters say, but rather take a look themselves. This is where all the people that found this page can do their part too! You can help hinder the spread of misinformation about the furry fandom. Simply send a link to this page to people that have questions about this situation. Together we can make the world a friendlier place for everyone.

In case you are curious about my Avali OC, here are some details on it:
In the furry fandom, your OCs are commonly referred to as fursonas. You can simply come up with one and can then identify with it to other members of the fandom.
For showcasing our OCs, we have a format known as ref sheets (short for reference sheets). They are basically a card containing information about your OC as well as a sketch or drawing. Here is mine:
